Is Marina's album not chart eligible then? Because it's only got 8 tracks??

No, plenty of 8 track albums will have charted. The download release is simply as instant grats from LOVE + FEAR, so any purchases will either be pre-orders of the full album, or cherry picks. LOVE could chart on its own from streaming I guess but I'd be surprised.

Mike and The Mechanics doing well and doing a live performance on Radio 2 later this week which should see a boost for their sales

Pleasantly surprised to see them so high but i still cant see them been any higher than Number 5 on Friday which is still great for them.

Top 5 sales added with the update, same sales were given to #4 and #5 in the singles.
Ruti!! :o

Higher than Molly is a bit of a surprise, thought Molly would be in the Top 40 at least.

Yay at album charts but boo at singles

Bad Guy deserves its shot at #1 (I’d even take Old Town Road over Lewis at this point)

Ruti *.*

Love + Fear is one album in OCC terms, it won’t be charting until it’s fully released

Looks like the only way SYL booted out of #1 is when the song hit ACR. (When SYL hit ACR btw?)

Ruti has single and ep molly only has single plus ruti had 1 hour head start :P

Lil Nas X for #1 tbh. (I'm guessing Lewis will probably be too far ahead but he should be able to get to #2?)

This! Finally something to challenge him next week.

Ruti's EP was released on the Friday.

Yes but it made minimal impact until her performance, which was an hour or so before Molly's song came out.

4 Lil Nas X - Old Town Road 13,460

Shame that Billy Ray Cyrus is not getting a credit (Appreciate he’s only on the Remix but that’s the biggest version) - would be his first UK chart hit in 27 years - he last appeared in 1992 when he charted with The Chipmunks

I'm sure Billy doesn't mind not receiving a chart credit here, when he will almost certainly be credited with having a Billboard #1 hit next week.

Remixers usually don't get an OCC credit anyhow, they're only being consistent with not giving Billy a credit.

i like Old Town Road. Its the first urban record i have liked since Falling Down last year and Unforgettable theyear before.

its far better than the current crop of grime and urban on the top 40 at the moment.

im not surprised its going for number one and i welcome it even for a week.

I presume given how quickly Ruti has dropped on iTunes today she has no chance of staying Top 40 now
