I'll never forget the day I found out about her cancer diagnosis.

I was in college, my whole class knew what a mega fan I was and someone told me that day she had breast cancer. Obviously this was before we all had smart phones and Google at the touch of a button, so I thought nothing of it and assumed he was joking (the guy who told me was an absolute dickhead, but why would someone joke about that?)

Then I got home in the evening, saw it on the news on the TV and I cried my eyes out.

I was a bit young to make sense of it properly and I was in absolute shock, but I researched all the news articles and it sounded like it had been detected early and I became confident I didn't have to worry too much, and that she'd be OK although she had a hard journey ahead of her.

I can’t bear the thought of it being discovered later and the prospect of potentially having lost her. I can promise you I never would have gotten over that.

It was a huge shock when the news broke, I was heartbroken and worried for Kylie and was so relieved when we heard it was detected at the early stages.

At the time I felt a sense that everyone wanted to protect Kylie and the world really showed huge love and support for Kylie.

I felt there was also a sense of this is Kylie it can't happen to her.

She showed such tremendous courage and strength throughout it all and when I look back I don't know how she did the tour so quickly afterwards, I can only imagine how much strength it took for her to do it but it was probably her goal to focus on to keep her mind away from thinking of cancer

I remember it so vividly when the news broke, I was working and heard it on the news and then a few friends of mine who know I'm a kylie fan were texting me I was shocked and part of me felt like it was happening to someone in my own cycle which I know sounds dramatic but I've essentially grown up been a fan of kylie since she started on Neighbours, so like other fans there is a part of you that feels you actually know her. I remember coming home watching the coverage on sky news and I was upset by it as I was like this is awful but I do also remember thinking Kylie will do an Anastacia on this and beat it as she had done not too long before kylie was diagnosed.

When kylie stepped on stage on her tour after cancer you could have cried with proudness for her it was a highly charged emotional opening.

Weird to realise that cancer announcement was over 16 years ago, the mid point of her career.

Woke up to a text from a friend that day about it. Who wrote a message of support on The Sun website? It was fan forums or websites back then. No social media.

She has a new team of stylists who have been tasked with re-vamping her wardrobe, one of my friends is part of that team. She's looking fantastic at the moment and the styling is such an improvement on most of the era beforehand (which at times I've felt was a touch dowdy). She looks the epitome of class and reinvigorated!

Slaying the dress!

It says the article is not available now.

Hopefully it’s true - it still commands a high resale price on eBay etc and people seem to be genuinely disappointed that they can no longer get it.
