In the UK at least, to me it feels like she's just as big now as she was during the Bangerz era (if not bigger)

Yes I feel the same. I guess regardless of album she had a big song with MS and in general she's very relevant and has a huge 'aura' to herself. Plus I think with longevity she's won more respect not just from a young audience but also in terms of general credibility.

i guess for me the difference is 'Bangerz' as an album felt bigger than just it's singles whereas with 'Plastic Hearts', it feels like people only 'Midnight Sky' (and the title track).

Really? The album has done really well streaming-wise. It was her fastest album to cross 1 billion streams on spotify. "Angels Like You" will become the 4th track of the album to pass 100 million streams in a week or so and "Plastic Hearts" is likely to pass 100 million sometime late this year/early next. It's also her most critically acclaimed album so far.

Admittedly I wasn't really closely following her but I think she was just a bigger personality in that era, mostly not really for reasons relating to her actual music.

IMO these are 2 of her best songs ever :heart:

4x4 and SMS and FU seem to be quite known with non-fans.

Also #GETITRIGHT is amazing

i was so surpirsed by 'gimme what i want'... i actually googled the song to find out who the original was as i'm so used to her doing covers lol

It's a very powerful song I think. One of my favourites from PH.

I just came here to say what an amazing album PH is and how unfortunate is that it wasn't pushed the way Future Nostalgia was

i'm not really surprised it got snubbed by the GRAMMYs? I don't even think the album had much impact in the US and TBH she's spent most of the promo trail doing covers?
