Yeah she is, killed by Sharon, to parallel Phil killing Steve. She'll probably sacrifice herself to open the car door for Louise to get out lol. Shsron id not a gangsta and EE needs to stop pushing her as the next champion boxer and hard woman!!

I don't know if you guys have seen this interview before but it is really shocking how there seems to be no difference between the character of Hayley and the actress. Also her overall appearance was quite shocking to me as well.

There is little difference between both in tone.

I did expect her to sound different or as they say a little more polished in real life.

It seems she’s not really acting in EastEnders after all.

I always thought it was Katie's real self coming through on-screen although I didn't find that a problem. She's a real, every day person, someone you would see in the street and someone you may know of, which is what EastEnders has been and should be about. I just wish she got some better direction i.e. told not to scream every word when she was angry.
This time last year she was giving birth to Cherry. I wonder if Kat will even bring Cherry out of the cupboard of lost children to celebrate her first birthday in tomorrow’s episode?

Maybe it’ll get a mention but it seems tomorrow is all about action in The Vic with the Halloween party, Honey/Adam, Sharon/Mel, Whitney/Leo and the Panesars. No mention of the Slaters.

I don't understand why they didn't just have Hayley collect Cherry off-screen. It's made no difference to the show with Cherry staying and we literally never see or hear about her. There's too many babies and young children for the show to deal with at the moment anyway.

Tbh, apart from them being a little bit of closure on Alfie and Kat's relationship (which will probably be reignited when Alfie inevitably returns to the show), Christmas 2018 didn't seem to have much effect on the show which is disappointing after a very lengthy 2018 where we just praying that the pay-off would be worth it.

Christmas 2018 was a very enjoyable watch but it seems like a lifetime ago given Hayley’s exit, Alfie’s exit and literally no mention of what happened from anyone. Other Christmas storylines tend to resonate or have a longer lasting effect so it feels a little odd thinking back on it now

There were powerful performances and a strong script, so yes very enjoyable, but Christmas usually sees everything come to a head and then creates lots of new stories and, as you say, it's all pretty much forgotten about.

I had the same problem with Christmas 2017 which, again, was a very enjoyable episode but it had a bumpy aftermath that would disappear weeks on end and we were expected just to forget everything Max did. It's no wonder viewing figures were slipping away because the audience has to ask itself what the point in watching is if all this build up during the year just amounts to nothing.

I suspect Christmas 2019 will be a different story, assuming it's the Sheanu reveal.

The aftermath of christmas 2017 and 18 weren't great, particularly 2017 was all over the place. There had to have been an issue with the hayley actress as 2018 was pointless for it to end the way it did. I much preferred the 2017 Christmas episode but I do think 2019 will trump both.

I'm not really feeling the Martin/Ben storyline. D:

I would have preferred that the writers went in a different direction with Ben's character than making him a chip off the old block Mitchell. Even though the current actor is pretty convincing as a tough man, I feel like this goes against his previous character development of being someone who never could quite live up to what Phil wanted him to be. I feel like he's essentially succeeding in being Phil's successor now.

As for Martin, I'm definitely suspending all belief when it comes to how he's been behaving. Lying to Stacey & Jean that he's slept with Sonia... argh! Even though all of this is daft, I'm nevertheless perched to find out what Sonia's eventual reaction to this accusation will be.

My least favourite storyline at the moment though has to be the restaurant vs sandwich start-up business :')

At least they’re not competing over samosas

Would they really be allowed to make sandwiches in someones very small iamspamspamamito sell to the public?

It is hard to see the direction of the storyline.

The Mel and Sharon scenes are highly enjoyable and i look forward to Sharon making a comeback in the quest for revenge.

It’s just not apple bobbing without Abi :(

I wonder what trick Mel has up her sleeve now. Ben surely must be suspicious if Sharon.

I’ll be pissed off if Mel dies now after swearing on her life when Sharon swore on Denny’s life over a year ago and he’s still going.
