Honestly it wouldn't have been different from any other Ariana song (which isn't bad, it's just something we've heard so much since thank u, next was released) had it not been for Lana. Her breathy voice in the middle 8 sells it for me.

LOVE this, a bop! I get the Mother's Daughter comparisons too but that's one of my fave songs of the year so I'm here for it.

I really wasn’t sure how Lana was going to work but wow she killed her part and it felt right! The song was really instant for me (which is a bit of a relief after ‘boyfriend’) and I loved seeing them all together in the video :wub:

 

YouTube views are over a million already, yay! Also there are plenty of limited edition formats to buy already if anyone’s interested. I’m tempted by the picture disc vinyl, although I wish the artwork was a little more exciting :kink:

The video is a full popstar moment. The song isn't quite as good and a bit underwritten but I'm stanning it regardless. Lana's is the best part, even though it sounds like it should be in another song.

I'm really appreciating Miley's part more on further listens too. She really attacks it. I'm pleased with what all three of them brought <3 I was going to resist spamming at work but the synth line of the production alone was stuck in my head lmao so I had to for a bit in the background :lol: soooo catchy.

 

Omg at that shipping date Kye?! It really is a waiting game with these releases, the 'boyfriend' vinyl isn't getting shipped until December either :')

 

I didn't even think about the possibility of this being added on tour Bal, argh! But I guess it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility, with Ariana chopping and changing bits since the tour started. It could work if Miley and Lana's bits are just played on the screen or something.

 

So excited to hear more of this soundtrack!

Honestly I'm disappointed by this, I thought it would be a lot better considering how much I like the names involved. :( But like others have said it does sound a bit of a mess and I definitely get the Mother's Daughter comparisons too. Lana's bit doesn't really fit in well but I'd say it's my favourite part of the song! Hoping it's a grower.

Lana's bit is the only good part :( It sounds like clown music :( No wonder Miley rejected it from the solo albums!

 

Lana CHANNELLING Posh Spice!! She would totally be Posh in any girlbanf. Yasss Lana!! Also Billie Ellish did the angel wings better. Aaand what was that video?! Awful.

This. Lana's talent shines through and completely overwhelms this undercooked song and blows the other two out of the water. Whoops! I suppose advertising Lana's talent, artistry and new album WASN'T the goal here? (Well, for everyone but Lana.)

 

I had to suffer the entire song just to get that great Lana bit :( It reminds me of Posh in Headlines (Loud and True) (Telling You All) (Friendship Never Ends), omg Spices loves brackets, where Posh's bit sounds like it's from a different song as well :lol:

I like the song but Lana's part is very jarring. It sounds like it's part of a different song and interrupts the energy. It's also strange seeing Lana as a 'pop girl'.

 

I'd have liked more Miley instead - her and Ariana sound great together.

I wish Miley and Lana were given some like ad libs at the end.

The Miley section is my fave, she really goes for it. This will obviously debut high but can't see it lasting long and becoming a huge hit.

This is so good! The most instant Ariana hit for me since NTLTC, just wish Miley and Lana had a little more cause they suit the sound of the track a lot better
