Posted August 3, 20195 yr For me: 01. Wish You Well 02. Piece of Your Heart 03. Play 04. Promises 05. Here with Me
August 3, 20195 yr Only five number ones in seven months  1. Meduza feat. Goodboys - Piece of Your Heart 2. Marshmello feat. CHVRCHES - Here With Me 3. Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Promises 4. Sigala & Becky Hill - Wish You Well 5. Jax Jones & Years & Years - Play
August 3, 20195 yr Wish You Well by MIIIIILES, Play is the only other one I'd listen to out of choice  Promises is fine but only in a "wouldn't change the radio station" kind of way, the other two I don't like at all.
August 3, 20195 yr Author Only five number ones in seven months  Yup! Piece of Your Heart - 14 weeks Promises - 8 weeks Play - 4 weeks Wish You Well - 4 weeks (and counting. current #01) Here with Me - 2 weeks
August 3, 20195 yr Yup! Piece of Your Heart - 14 weeks Promises - 8 weeks Play - 4 weeks Wish You Well - 4 weeks (and counting. current #01) Here with Me - 2 weeks Wow, the dance chart really has become a lot worse since 2015!
August 3, 20195 yr Voted for 'Wish You Well', its the most interesting production-wise imo. Although I did like 'Play' too. Here With Me isn't in any way dance and shouldn't be dance singles #1 imo. When we do dance number 1s of the 10s soon (after the 90s and 00s editions), we will definitely be excluding it. It is a good pop song though. Edited August 3, 20195 yr by TheSnake
August 3, 20195 yr The dance chart is so stale right now, more than recent times. They genuinely need to shake things up, bring in ACR etc
August 3, 20195 yr The Dance Chart is bullshit anyway in what they deem as "dance". Why isn't Giant here for example?
August 3, 20195 yr ^ Another good example is the inconsistency with Clean Bandit. 'Rather Be' has been a persistent mainstayer; nothing else has had a look in... until 'Mama' appeared last year
August 3, 20195 yr 1. Promises (Giant) 2. Wish You Well 3. Piece Of Your Heart 4. Play 5. Here With Me the top 3 (4) being well ahead of the last 2!
August 3, 20195 yr Hi I Check the dance chart every week and it disappointing to see not much movement. Of the list, I like them all, but love Wish You Well. Although, it is a shame that All Day And Night didn't make #1. The Dance Chart is bullshit anyway in what they deem as "dance". Why isn't Giant here for example? I queried that a few months ago. Had it been included though, I doubt Play or Here With Me would have been Dance #1s. Giant would have been #1 numerous weeks like Promises and One Kiss did in 2018. Perhaps they'd had enough Calvin domination and decided to find a reason to exclude Giant. - (it would have been my favourite dance #1 had it been included) Sorry could be a future Dance #1.
August 3, 20195 yr The Dance Chart is absolute rubbish  They had bloody James Blake in it this year!
August 3, 20195 yr Only 5 number ones omfg... 1. Promises 2. Wish You Well 3. Piece Of Your Heart 4. Here With Me 5. Play Could probs see Wish You Well taking over long term tbf
August 4, 20195 yr Wish You Well - 4 weeks (and counting. current #01) Arguably I would consider AJ Tracey - Ladbroke Grove higher up at #4 as the 'true' dance number 1 at the moment, although AJ Tracey doesn't usually make dance music so isn't really a 'dance artist'. August 4, 20195 yr If you think the UK Dance chart is bad for #1's, you should see how it is on Billboard. "The Middle" took #1 for 33 weeks, eventually overtaken by "Happier" which has been #1 for 39 weeks and counting. Nothing's even close to overtaking it still :P
