There's quite a few new releases about now, but because of the nature of the chart most of them don't make a major chart impact at least in their first week.

 

Taking the most notable new releases of the week I have shortlisted the potentials for Buzzjack's TOTW. It's weird how 'Freaking Me Out' got such a lukewarm reception on Buzzjack (especially in the Ava Max thread) and yet was voted track of the week. Not that I'm complaining because I think it's a great song!

Yes, but even on the KP area of the forum Small Talk hasn't had a great response.

 

Basically she's just winning on name rather than 'track'

It was the same with Ava Max last week, the most well-known / popular name nearly always wins this whether or not the actual song goes down well on here. I guess there are a lot of lurkers on the site who vote in these polls but don't really post much who have a higher tolerance for basic pop faves releasing bad singles. x

 

(also there's no way to do a 'negative vote' against songs that you don't like in this poll)
