Reason for edit: first look spoilers removed

Just so you know we can all still see the spoilers!

Wait, Taylor must be next week then. She might actually struggle if Slipknot keep those sales up :o

The week after. Not next week.

Yes! Feeder a lock on for a 3rd Top 10 in a row. 😁😁 They have signings all week too, so hoping they’ll stay Top 5... which will be the first time since ‘The Singles’ in 2006!

Still haven’t got round to listening in full... 😔

Taylor’s out on the 23rd so they’ll be on their third chart week by then. She’ll be fine I’d think but stranger things have happened. If she did miss #1 it won’t be because of Slipknot though unless there’s a death in the band (morbid I know but they won’t outsell her week one in their week three under normal circumstances).

what I find interesting is that even if album sales have clearly collapsed in the last couple years

old bands coming back still make big numbers, just checked and the last Slipknot album opened with 30K in 2014

so looks like this one is gonna do similarly despite the poor album sales climate

Slipknot currently on track for 31.3k and Ed Sheeran on track for 24k - even accounting for Ed likely to sell more on a daily basis for the rest of the week, it seems Slipknot have #1 pretty much in the bag.

So slipknot was frontloaded they still have strong shot though

Poor start for katy, the single that she cameos in the video is gonna beat her debut at this rate

They even have the maximum three songs in the top 100 singles chart update too (#64, #65 and #81), very impressed with how well this album is doing!
Kylie top 25 is better than i thought it maybe this week. Slipknot already on higher sales than i thought they would get for the week.
So slipknot was frontloaded they still have strong shot though

You say this as if it's a surprise :P honestly Slipknot have actually sold more since the last update than I would have guessed.

Doesn't look out of the question that this could be another week with 0 new entries in the top 40, there's not even much interesting going on in 41-100 to make up for it. At least we have a good handful of climbing hits in the top 10 (partly because of a couple of songs going to ACR) but otherwise...

Surprised Bon Iver are as high as #5 without a physical release, obviously on rock bottom sales but even so. Would be good if they could maybe hang onto the top 10.

hope Katy Perry and Megan thee Stallion hold on, but we could easily have another week without newies :/

Hardly any new albums this week, Elvis and 2NA & Krafty Kuts will just drop out from the Top 100 by the end of the week. Alan Jones is going to have an easy write up of the Albums Analysis on Friday :D

Abbey Road by the Beatles is back with a big jump any reason for that, I must have missed something.

The single charts looks a bit bare of new entries.
