I actually forget it exists :o It pretty much bombed everywhere which is SO bizarre considering Bey and Gaga were huge back in 2009. It peaked at #58 in the UK and #65 in the US.

Do you like the song? Do you understand why it bombed or do you think it's underrated?

I like it! It's certainly nowhere near Telephone level good but it's a decent bop which deserved to do a lot better than it did imo!

You mean 2009?

It's so funny how I found out about the existence of this collab like a year after I became a Gaga stan (around late 2011) So it was basically forgotten right away.

I've voted 'meh' mainly because I rarely listen to it and when I do it's fairly enjoyable but nothing major. Gaga's verse is cute though.

I have no idea why this was such a flop - were the public still hung up on Telephone?

I voted No, didn't like it back then, don't like it now. Find it very repetitive and overproduced (like a lot of the stuff from this time), and simply suffers from being just plain boring. The obvious reason why this bombed is that it already featured on a massive selling album that had been out for over a year, and plus wasn't this like single #8 or #9, and yes I do realize this was remixed to feature Lady Gaga, but her contribution is so small and doesn't add anything to an already not very good song.

The terrible production really drowns out Lady Gaga and she doesn't get to add her usual charm and flair to this soulless piece of crap, and simply this just wastes 2 fantastic artists. Thankfully the other similarly titled song 'Telephone' was far better and buried this terrible one FOREVER.

I didn't mind it at the time or since, bur everything about it is WEIRD, Gaga in a one piece cossie, the fact the video looks oddly high budget despite also seeming cheap looking, the lyrics are atrocious (I don't think anyone has EVER said 'video phone' to refer to a mobile phone/cell) and the lack of similarity to Telephone despite the similar names is just odd if its meant to be a tiein.

Despite that, the beat isn't bad & its fun to have Gaga doing something different sonically.

VP was played at Beyoncé party earlier this year and people went CRAZY when this came and shouting that OMG didn't remember this!

They also loved Telephone obviously but were probably even more excited about VP, maybe because it was a Beyoncé single, idk.
