November 29, 20195 yr Okay, I know this word is thrown around constantly with reality TV but tonight was a HUGE fix. When Ant and Dec described the 'curse' challenges on Wednesday they made it out that once the curse was lifted, it was permanent. The public voted for four contestants to do the water trial yesterday and Nadine and Roman won theirs fair and square, then Adele/Myles/Andrew/Andy won theirs as well. That should have meant that six were immune and six weren't. Fair and square, right? So why on earth did Ant and Dec then go back and tell them that essentially those three trials were pointless because none of them were actually immune and they'd have to fight to break the curse again the next night? Nadine lost her immunity in a f***ing drinking challenge and so did Andrew and Andy. Even though all three of them won theirs in difficult challenges the night previously, they then lost that status over a f***ing drinking challenge. To make it even worse, even though Adele was buried alive and WON and then competed in the drinking challenge and WON she then had to go into ANOTHER challenge and this time lost out to James and Myles. Now she's first eliminated. The producers have been constantly changing the rules about this curse thing and it's very convenient how James and Ian ended up immune while Adele and Nadine (who barely get screen time) were up for the vote. I hope Nadine being in the bottom two tonight doesn't actually mean she was second from bottom. :( She's got tons of online support so I hope it's a generational thing with the phones voting. Yeah 100%, very fishy. I can't say I'm mad that Adele went but it was bullshit tbh, it feels like they didn't get the result they wanted from the Reckoning and did them again until they did. But not only that, if there was an issue with the votes then they should have cancelled it. I feel like there's gonna be a definite generational gap in the phone and app votes, I expect Adele would have gone either way but I don't see why they couldn't carry over the phone votes and do a double tomorrow or something with the app issue fixed. I mean imagine if it had gone really wrong and say because of the generational gap, Roman ended up going  I don't think Nadine being bottom 2 on phone votes is out of the realms of possibility but hopefully it was one of those fabricated bottom 2s!
November 30, 20195 yr I mean I’m a bit in agreement here! As soon as Ian and James have immunity it’s permanent but before hand it’s not  They should’ve said something along the lines of a series of challenges to decide the 3 immune contestants or something. Adele and Andrew both immune though whilst Ian, James and Caitlyn aren’t though so worried the producers. I’d scream if James or Ian went tomorrow but seems unlikely. I think to make immunity battles fair they should all do just one challenge at the same time and have it be something like ring the bell when you think a certain time has passed the three people closest to the time get immunity and leave it at that. Having people outright win more than one thing and not get immunity then give someone immunity because they sat in a smelly bath ffs. I didn’t watch the show live tonight as I was at work and I come in and my dad said she didn’t deserve to go tonight but I didn’t know who he was talking about so all show I was like ffs it’s Nadine and then when she got it might be you I was like omg it really is her. I can see Nadine it might be you being one of those fake bottom twos and I’d imagine her app votes will get her through another vote off or two. But at the same time I can easily have seen everyone bar Andrew and perhaps Cliff getting more votes than her. Can’t say I’m shocked Adele went though I expected Adele or Andrew to go I think Ian might’ve won Andrew votes though. With Adele I think she’s just one of those contestants who wasn’t amongst the least shown but just didn’t seem to have support from anywhere really. Edited November 30, 20195 yr by Jordan Lee

"A curse has descended on camp. You're all now cursed. Over the next two days there'll be a series of challenges known as Reckonings. Today's Reckonings will give each of you the chance to free yourself from the curse and win food. Now, the public have been voting for who will take on the first of those Reckonings - The Sinister Circus. Roman, Jacqueline, Nadine and Ian - it's the four of you. The rest of you will face your own Reckonings later today." Ant and Dec didn't specify time-length regarding freedom from the curse, and they didn't mention immunity from the public vote at this stage. The first day of challenges (Sinister Circus, Bad Banquet and Dead Ringers) was essentially just about food! A lifted curse = a proper meal, still being cursed = basic rations. I guess they could have been clearer in their initial explanation, but I think the "over the next two days" part was meant to imply that the first day's challenges and what the celebs could get out of that (freedom from curse = food) was separate to whatever would occur in Day 2, which Ant & Dec didn't elaborate on in that moment. I suppose it would have complicated matters if they'd explained the entire two days, when the second day wasn't yet relevant to us as viewers, or the camp mates. Day 2's The Sickening Cinema was the first challenge in which celebs risked being put up for the public vote if they lost a head-to-head challenge. I do agree with you that the "who can down a vile drink the fastest" challenge ultimately being more crucial than the previous day's arguably harder challenges is annoying though. So the winners of that challenge had either retained freedom or gained freedom, but they still hadn't won immunity yet. Trouble Baths was ultimately the battle for immunity from the public vote. That challenge was definitely more in favour of those with bigger hands, which again is kind of annoying. I don't think that the "The Reckoning" challenges overall was the producers changing the rules as they went along (at least I personally realised that the first day wasn't regarding immunity), however I do think that the order of the challenges was quite arbitrary! I reckon it would have been better if they'd swapped the challenges around... i.e. have the drinking challenge determine who got nice meals or not. Then Day 2's fight for immunity be more skill-based challenges. It would have been more thrilling for us as viewers if challenges like the water diving one had been a race for immunity (and for meals for the camp). I am definitely feeling :/ about the mess with the app votes. I suppose the fact that app votes are free is I'm a Celebrity's justification for just proceeding with paid-for phone votes, but it still feels unfair.
November 30, 20195 yr The confusion over the votes seems to be that people voting on the app were lead to believe they were voting for who they wanted out rather than who they wanted to stay. Like It’s honestly never been vote to evict it’s not civiallin Big Brother what’s the only show I’ve watched where it’s vote for your least favourite. But really any vote misleading or confusion should just have the votes disqualified then re open the lines and have a double elimination tomorrow or on Sunday to make up for nobody going on Friday.
November 30, 20195 yr I didn't vote as I was confused. I fast-forwaded and Ant and Dec said nothing about it, and on here a few days ago people were talking about votes to kick out. It literally said Vote OFF, and so I left it.
November 30, 20195 yr I know nobody is expecting Nadine to win or even make the final but I really hope she can at least last a few more episodes. I guess last night was probably a scare because of the app votes and other campmates being immune and the fact that it could have been random and she wasn't actually second from bottom but it's still a bit worrying. Surely she'll beat Cliff and Andrew at least? I have seen ZERO support for them online.
November 30, 20195 yr Heteronormativity and racism won when Adele was eliminated last night :( It’s a shame to see her go.
November 30, 20195 yr I don't think Adele deserved to be first out, she's not been bad and she's done very well in everything she attempted.

November 30, 20195 yr A bit dramatic no ? lol what racism ? I can sort of see their point. Adele has been incredibly likeable, got stuck in to all challenges, had decent screentime and yet has consistantly been the favourite to be first eliminated and had truly terrible odds of winning. She was 200/1 at one point. Considering how many straight, white males win these sorts of shows (X-Factor, Britains Got Talent, Big Brother etc) or at the very least make it to the finals it's not at all surprising that the black, female lesbian was the one the public didn't support or find 'likeable'. I wouldn't really call it racism but it's always a trend on reality shows and this year is no different considering Roman and Andy are the two favourites to win and they've done bugger all to deserve it.
November 30, 20195 yr A bit dramatic no ? lol what racism ? I don’t think it’s a surprise that the lady that doesn’t fit the typical societal expectations of a woman is out first. Her presence is an attack on patriarchal, heteronormative culture.
November 30, 20195 yr I really don’t think so tbh at the end of the day Adele was probably the least known in there out of everyone in there and came in with no real fan base like most of them would have done . She wasn’t really a massive or big character in there and despite coming across likeable at times I don’t think the whole Jane Mcconald thing did her much favours either . I don’t think there was any racism or Heteronormativity at all ( And this is coming from a Black Gay in myself ) ! Edited November 30, 20195 yr by troylovesmusic
November 30, 20195 yr Author It was after her 'prejudiced' comment was when I noticed a lot of dislike for her on social media.
November 30, 20195 yr James HAS to go. Awful, awful, arrogant controlling, bullying toxic male. The way he glares at everyone and demands they do as he say is just gross. OUT!!
December 1, 20195 yr I can’t believe Kate was in the bottom two. I might have to send some votes her way to keep her in longer. I don’t really mind that Andrew has gone. He isn’t one of my favourites. He’s a nice guy and stuff but just isn’t my fave. James did grate on me a bit in yesterday’s episode but I think he was just extremely hangry which is understandable given his muscle mass. I’m glad Nadine was safe today. I was worried after she was in the bottom two before. Ian is very entertaining in trials.
December 1, 20195 yr I’m wondering if Kate and Nadine were genuinely second last tonight and last night it or if they were random. Harry was once an it might be you last year despite him winning every single show. We won’t know till the end. Adele and Andrew were always gonna be the first two originals to go. Guessing Cliff might go tomorrow.
December 1, 20195 yr Not surprised by Andrew going! He didn't particularly become a fan favourite after being one of the lesser known to go in. He was decent but not someone I'd root for or want in the final! I'm unsure if Nadine or Kate were bottom two - could go either way on them, however I'd have thought Nadine would've been in the bottom again if that was true. I would prefer it if James and Ian went - particularly Ian. I hate it when people have to be careful with their behaviour because someone else can't control their emotions, that's no excuse for poor behaviour. Least favourite moment of the series was when James was telling Jacqueline to watch her words as Ian may react to them in yesterday's (?) episode. Sad reflection of letting men get away with murder whilst women are expected to accommodate it. Myles has been growing on me recently so I'd like to him to survive a bit longer, before I thought he was dead-wood. I'd rather the like of Roman, Myles and Andy went further than James and Ian.
December 1, 20195 yr Nadine REALLY needs to put herself forward for a trial tomorrow. It's between her and Cliff for next elimination probably. Why is she getting zero screentime? She got like 30 seconds tonight while everyone else probably got equal (aside from James and Ian as usual). What's with the producers trying to edit her out?
December 1, 20195 yr Yeah I can see it being between Cliff and Nadine for the next elimination Edited December 1, 20195 yr by Jαsє
December 1, 20195 yr To be fair I barely saw any of Myles or Cliff in this episode (well we did see some of Cliff...) I think it's the likes of James and Ian naturally grab the attention, Caitlyn, Andy and Kate will always interject and be involved in most discussions. Nadine is just not as in your face as some of the others in there so I don't think they're deliberately not giving her screentime when others are in a similar position.
