In the lead into this week I had hoped of Step Back in Time showing in the midweek chart this week.

186 (RE) Step Back In Time

Sales: 314

Yesterday: 124

Yesterdays rank: 169

Sales WoW +40%

Using the week-on-week percentage, 'Step Back in Time' had shifted 224 or 225 copies by last Monday's update. Looks like it could be selling 400/500 copies a week outside of the charts, which would bring its total to around 120k.

I think it hasn't been doing that many sales. Maybe since Glasto repeat and her BBC totp special it got extra sales/streams. But who knows maybe it did with Kylie fans in lockdown

Edited by SmileyKylie

Her monthly listeners had grown to almost 5 million during lockdown not just Glastonbury. Plenty of those will have been UK listeners contributing streaming points to all her catalogue, mainly SBIT.
Sbit didnt benefit in lockdown as much as many other greatest hits and i was hoping it would have done enough to get top 100 at some point.
The marketing team slipped up not promoting it, some social media interactions would have helped.
even 300 sales per week for the rest of the year would get her a further 7k sales, and she should get more if she can get in some promo when she releases Disco.
With 314 sales at midweek Step Back in Time may have achieved 500 in total for the week.

I'm so impatient for them to reduce the cassette prices!

Current amount of cassettes in stock:

99+ Clear

99+ White

90 Green (Was on 99+ copies left as of 17th September)

47 Pink (14 copies sold since 17th September)

34 Gold (13 copies sold since 17th September)

I received my 3 CD expanded version today!

These have been selling slowly but surely over the last year. Pink sold out first earlier this year, followed by Gold (I remember that happened in August), and more recently Green sold out (I wasn't keeping an eye on it, so I'm not sure exactly when - but certainly during the promotion of DISCO). Now all that remains is 40 clear cassettes, and there's still 99+ of the white.

I had been biding my time with the Gold and hoping it would eventually be reduced, but evidently that didn't happen and it sold out. Interesting to now know that it's the white version that has proved to be the least popular... unless for some reason they made more copies of the white.

They seem to hold steady on their prices for Kylie :drama: I mean we still have the Golden Christmas cassette at full price (Although it did drop to £5 last Black Friday).

I noticed that the SBIT cassettes has started to sell out during the Disco campaign snatching a few extra sales.

Are you going to go for either of the 2 left Jay? (On a side note I’m so pleased they have given us alternative covers for the Disco cassettes after the SBIT ones cost £75 and all look identical!)
