It's almost here folks! Anyone got any plans for tomorrow night?. Having wife's friends round for a little Brexit party. My idea but don't have any friends. :( Champagne on ice but doubt anyone will drink except me. We've got some Union Jacks to wave at 11pm.

Wonder what time Boris will speak. Heard rumours that it's networked live from No.10 across all channels at the same time as he's requested. A Prime Ministerial address to the nation no less which No.10 can apparently request at any time. He really needs to say things to try and unite the country now and not the same old "we did it" etc etc.or sound victorious in any way. He should appear to be quite humble.

Surely this is a troll post now?

Well I hope your wife who immigrated to this country for a better life sees the irony.

No she was having some friends Saturday anyway for her 60th birthday next week but I suggested Friday to co-incide with Brexit.

Better get the dog taken out early tomorrow evening in case there are fireworks later as she stops dead and won't go any further.

Union Jacks are on ships. Elsewhere it's a flag. I wonder what colour the flag will be once Scotland Northern Ireland leave...

I don't think we need to worry about that as it'll be 10+ years away.

The Government has issued these guidelines abut European travel from 1st Jan 2021

Travel insurance required, no more cover guaranteed - European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) card might not be valid.

International drivers license required for some countries.

Pet travel - 4 month's notice and extensive paperwork required.

At border control, you may need to: show a return or onward ticket, show you have enough money for your stay, use separate lanes from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens when queueing.

From 1 January 2021, the guarantee of free mobile phone roaming will end throughout the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

I saw a notice in the vets last week saying it'll be much harder and costly to take your dog with you on holiday in Europe. Four months' notice and several vets visits and various certificates needed. Good news maybe for kennels as more people may leave them at home!

Will cost too as you've to have a rabies vaccine then have blood tests a month later to ensure the vaccine is active in the dog's blood stream. Could cost hundreds as vets will charge for all the certificates etc etc and it won't be covered by pet insurance.

This is nothing different to what non-EU travellers have to show at present. In fact you won't get a visa if you can't show the embassy you have enough spending money for your stay or that someone else will support you and accommodate you. So much paperwork and documents for the sponsor to provide to the embassy as we found out in 2018.

Horrific.

Leave promised a Norway model. It was a 50 50 split. They should have compromised, not performed a right wing coup.

52-48 Michael. :)

But it's worse than what we have now. What if the government abolished all benefits and answered all protests with "It's nothing different from what people in Rwanda have"?

Wales voted for Brexit, don't forget - and that 40% wasn't remotely reflected in the GE - in fact Plaid Cymru's share even fell by 0.5% to 9.9%.

Wales may have voted for Brexit (my constituency didn’t) but moods might have changed. Watching the English government flounder over Brexit for four years has made people wonder why we are at the mercy of them. If Scotland go, Wales could eventually.

Well time will tell. It's like anything in life, if you don't try something different you'll never know.

You never do anything new. This isn’t even a dig about you not working, you don’t seem to have hobbies or visit other places or anything.

If there's a safety net below then you will. :)

What is the safety net for Brexit then?

All channels? Thank f*** for streaming services, I’m not listening to that odious toad.

All channels. Dictatorship.

Also, if a vote over 50% is "good enough for you", then I guess 50% is enkugh to join the euro! 50% = hard remain x

Right... the sort of 'coup' done by the ballot box.

With respect, you know nothing about me. I keep and breed tropical fish and have 5 tanks now and will be visiting a large aquarium shop on Saturday which has a fish in that's quite hard to find that I've wanted for a while.

I don't happen to like holidays even though I could afford a good one. Waste of time and money to me.

We can always apply to re-join the EU.

We can always apply to re-join the EU.

How safe is that net exactly? Why would they want us back after this?

UKIP barely won any seats in the HOC, so that's not necessarily crucial for a Leave movement.

Conservatives were crucial for the leave movement tho.

Funny how yoy forget them once its conevnient for you

It is also worth mentioning that the Leave majority in Wales is believed to have been largely because of a lot of elderly English voters. The likelihood is that Welsh voters voted Remain.
