The lead singles from Kylie's first 2 albums, Kylie and Enjoy Yourself.

Which song is the better of the two?

I went for equal, studio wise I much prefer hand on your heart but i dont enjoy it live at all, I do like studio lucky but love it live.
Prefer HOYH but Lucky is a key song in her catalogue for the general public. I often skip it but it’s fun at times. Live versions are much much better.

What are you face live versions as hand on your heart always falls flat live for me.

I vote I Should be So Lucky.

Hand on your Heart is also very good, but without I Should Be So Lucky im not sure what would have happened.

She probably wouldn't have been as lucky.

I think on balance, I'd probably go back to 'Hand On Your Heart' more. Although 'Lucky' was #1 on my first birthday, so that's quite special (and it means I'm one year older than Kylie's music career).

The Loco Motion was what started it and released the year before I Should Be So Lucky.

With that, you could say you were conceived during the Australian release of the the Loco Motion and Lucky' was #1 on your first birthday.

All very Kylie related.

I meant I prefer live versions of Lucky over the original.

Its the same for me, I'd love to find a live version of gand on your heart that I really like. There are a good few live lucky versions that I love.
I like both. I feel that Kylie's second album was stronger than her first.

They're pretty equal for me. 'Hand On Your Heart' is that bit more polished but 'I Should Be So Lucky' has nostalgia on side (not that I was alive in the 80s, but the song was included on some pop party compilation album I owned and I often saw the music video on the TV channels).

I think if I were to hear both of them on a night out, I'd be more excited about 'Lucky', so I'll go for that one.

Both represent the heart of Kylie from the early days.

The art work on the single sleeve for Hand on Your Heart remain one of my favourites.

Love both of these....but its "I Should Be So Lucky" that edges out in front for me, for the simple reason is that not only is the one that started it all, but everything we know and love about Kylie can be traced back to this little gem & whether you like it or not its one of her signature hits one that a lot of people to this day identifies her with. Pure 80's pop perfection, LOVE IT & still ranks pretty high amongst my fave Kylie singles.

Where would she be today without this?

I Should be So Lucky is one of the most important, if not most important singles Kylie released.

Without it, there may have been nothing else.

It set up a great career that's for sure, I don't think when kylie recorded it, she envisaged a 30 year plus successful music career ahead.

I would truly believe Kylie never thought her music career would go to the level it did.

In large, her musical career was accidental.
