Looking great for Stormzy

actually this is a sorta bad update for Mariah, not sure what happened there, usually Sun streams always show an increase for Mariah

but she actually dropped from 623 to 576K

 

by comparison last year she went up from 712 to 753K

 

her first 3 days of the week on Spotify have been much worst than last year:

last year, Mariah: 695-712-753k

this year, Mariah: 622- 623 - 576k

 

while Stormzy is doing much better than Ava Max:

last year, Ava Max: 410-393-354k

this year, Stormy: 524 -473 - 410k

It's just the boost from the album release wearing off, plus it being the weekend which always sees the lowest numbers on Spotify for whatever reason (look back at the daily streams of 'Own It' and you can see Saturday and Sunday are consistently worse for it than every other day). Every single song in the Spotify top 200 decreased in streams on yesterday's update except Billie Eilish's 'ocean eyes'. It is rather weird that even the Christmas songs have dropped when they normally do better at the weekends though...

 

Also let's be real. Anyone who thinks worse of Stormzy after the recent 'publicity' is not likely to be the kind of person who was listening to his music in the first place.

So nobody's listening to Robbie's Christmas album, I thought at least a couple of his songs would be top 200

Finally! Someone agrees with me. I knew they'd flop last era what that ATROCIOUS rnb album and album name, and sure enough they flopped from the first single on and haven't stopped since. They'll split soon. They're over and done.

 

Also, those Mabel and Taylor singles are utter trash as well. They're not doing well as no one is listening to them because no one wants to.

 

What about the wonderful SIA Santas coming For Us looking like repeaking this week in its third year in the top 40? Turning into a new classic!!!

Seems like most Christmas songs have been down on last year's Spotify figures all through the month. I'm not sure why, it feels like they haven't pushed the Christmas playlists quite as much this year, also people have been saying for months about lower than usual streams for the top 3 on Spotify, so in that context Stormzy has done well to stay that high. Still it should all hinge on the surge in streams over Christmas itself.

Exactly. I think Ellie’s performance so far for River shows we can’t underestimate the amount of streams are coming from the other big platforms.

But Spotify's numbers haven't been noticeably lower at any other point of the year in comparison with other years so idk if it's completely down to that

Does anyone with an Amazon Music subscription have info on how she's doing in comparison to Stormzy there today? I suspect she's doing a lot better than Stormzy on there which could push her over the line.

Given that Mariah is on ACR her chart streams total is 324,349. To be ahead of Stormzy she need 1.9m streams in the next 48hrs. She is also 17% lower on iTunes. Does she really have a shot at even No2?

She must not be doing very well on Amazon any way as Amazon alone was enough to put Ellie ahead on Sunday update but Mariah with that and physicals was still behind. It is likely Amazon get their streaming over to OCC on time too so 2 days of Amazon and physicals were included in the Sunday update.
