December 14, 20195 yr 7 rings and Follow God are both good songs so hopefully they head out quickly. Other than that, results going well so far.
December 14, 20195 yr My 2 least faves in Anne-Marie & D-Block are still there but I like all the other 8 to varying degrees.
December 14, 20195 yr So happy Rewrite The Stars is not top 10. Poor Senorita Anne-Marie though.
December 15, 20195 yr Author #10. Kanye West - Follow God [51 points] {6}-15-27-36-47->5 The most nominated song but it doesn't come close to being #1, it was the best track on Kanye's latest album and also the one that was pushed as a single. #09. Blueface - Thotiana [52 points] 68-40-23-{15}-17-18-20-24-28-67->10 One hit wonder rapper Blueface had this hit early in the year, it's alright as a novelty track but quite understandable it being top 10 here. #08. YNW Melly - Murder On My Mind [55 points] 47-31-{20}-21-24-27-30-35-38->9 Just what we all didn't need this year was another rapper with an annoying borderline unlistenable voice and we have a few of those at the moment, but this one is much worse for its lyrical content about murdering people in graphic detail and without any guilt over it, oh and he actually went out and did it which is why this was a hit in the first place. Awful song by an awful man. Surprised it's as 'low' as #8 really. #07. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber - I Don't Care [57 points] {1}-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-x-3-3-3-21-20-20-27-30-33-34-x(10)-75-...>20 Another year means another overexposed Ed Sheeran track, and this song is not good at all. The production is very thin which doesn't help but it mostly comes down to the tacky basic hook. More could have been done with the premise of feeling anxious at a large social gathering (#relatable) but then it ends up being just another cheesy love song. #06. D-Block Europe - Kitchen Kings [58 points] 67-{16}-19-26-36-33-34-42-47-46->10 Another D-Block Europe which was slightly amusing for finally giving us a hit single with the word 'kitchen' to trigger Buzzjack's spam filter but the song itself is nothing to write about. So here's the top 5, all to be announced tomorrow so get your final predictions in: Anne-Marie - Perfect To Me Ariana Grande - 7 Rings D-Block Europe - Home P*ssy Lil Dicky - Earth Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello - Senorita Which one of these will be crowned Buzzjack's Worst Song 2019?
December 15, 20195 yr Glad to see Follow God out nice and early there, easily my favourite song out of the final ten here. Very surprised that Murder On My Mind only came #8 here, that should have been top five at least!
December 15, 20195 yr If Señorita isn't #5 considering the other 4 songs really are absolute trash... :drama:
December 15, 20195 yr Yay for 'Follow God' not actually being near the winner despite the weirdly high number of nominations for a song that a) really doesn't seem like something that should attract THAT much hate especially compared to the rest of the album and b) was pretty easily avoidable. One of the best songs on the list here. '7 rings' and 'Señorita' being ahead of 'Murder On My Mind' tho?
December 15, 20195 yr Author oddly it had more nominations than actual votes. some of the haters may have nominated and then not voted.
December 15, 20195 yr Senorita is not amazing, and the fake romance killed it big way, but it doesn't deserve top 5
December 15, 20195 yr Like all of those apart from Kitchen Kings which is dreadful. Should have been their highest as Home Pussy is their best imo. I guess a good handful of people have never actually heard Murder On My Mind hence why it didn't receive as many points as expected. Anne-Marie scoring back to back top 5's in the Hate Chart  this time it's actually deserved though as Perfect To Me is absolute garbage. Edited December 15, 20195 yr by dobcember
December 15, 20195 yr And yet Senorita was a reshuffle #1 for a week... I wondered what that "kitch..." / "iamspam..." thing was all about. Edited December 15, 20195 yr by FelizNavidad
December 16, 20195 yr I'm very glad Follow God was at #10 as it's an amazing song but that's as good as that section gets, 4 of the 5 worst songs left went out in that section. I can only hope that the other D-Block Europe song wins but I can see it easily being Earth which I thought was actually quite catchy lyrics aside.
December 16, 20195 yr I wondered what that "kitch..." / "iamspam..." thing was all about. I think it was back before 2016 when some users would start spamming topics in the Lounge involving iamspamspamami or something
December 16, 20195 yr Author #05. Ariana Grande - 7 Rings [61 points] {1}-1-1-2-1-4-5-6-7-29-38-44-42-46-58-58-65->17 Ariana's biggest hit of the year but also her most disliked on here by some way. With the Sound of Music interpolation and the lyrics mostly being her flexing it's not surprising that it got such a mixed reaction everywhere. I wasn't much of a fan and she's certainly had better but it didn't quite make my worst 10 here. #04. Lil Dicky - Earth [63 points] 24-{21}-24-31-31-40-54-68->8 For the second consecutive year Lil Dicky had the "honour" of having the worst song of the year in my opinion, and honestly this is even worse than "Freaky Friday". I'm probably a fair bit older than the intended audience for this sort of thing but this is truly bad. This massively underperforming was one of the most pleasant surprises of the chart year. Todd In The Shadows did an excellent takedown of the song so if you want to spend 15 minutes hearing about how terrible it is you can watch that. Anyway the main thing I hate about this is that like his previous hit it's really not funny as it thinks it is, actually it is painfully unfunny and most of it is 'look at me I'm an animal with the voice of a famous person!1' which gets old fast, plus some other choice lyrics. The song's also a lot longer that it needs to be with the same thin production throughout and the hook is super basic and annoying. And it probably didn't even raise much money for what it was supposed to due to the music video being one of the most expensive of all time. Down with tacky charity songs, and especially down with this crap. The Earth deserves better than this especially in the times we are living in. Great to see that this made the top five here, although it really should've taken the #1. #03. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello - Senorita [72 points] 2-2-{1}-2-1-1-1-1-1-11-12-14-19-20-24-30-27-34-36-45-53-48-53-65R(2)->24 Well, at least it's not quite as bad as some of his earlier songs and it's not even as bad as their other duet, but did the public really have to let the most annoying Shawn song of this era become his biggest hit yet? Too many ooh la las for my liking. Camila can't save it either. Surprised that it's made it as high as #3 here but it was very much helped by no less than four sets of top points (tying with 'Earth' for the most of those). So it is Anne-Marie vs D-Block Europe for #1, which will be revealed later tonight.
December 16, 20195 yr Senorita is one of his best ever songs so quite vexing it gets the most hate. Overplay was a factor admittedly but not to put it top 3 in this. I barely even remember Earth, what a flop. Seeing Ariana top 5 in a hate rate is quite the sight. Im no D-Block Europe fan but literally all their other singles are worse than Home Pussy. Hopefully Anne-Marie takes this one!
December 16, 20195 yr Genuinely didn't see that Top 2 coming, especially Perfect to Me which I forgot existed after it peaked at #41 in January and then swiftly exited the chart.
