Amazon report their data on time unlike Spotify and AM so this chart is skewed towards Amazon - hence Ellie always being higher on First Look than officially on Fridays (when the OCC estimate missing streams from those other platforms)

It's a shame the new Mariah video is unwatchable :( It's like G.U.Y by GaGa - bitty, 1 second scenes that switch fast enoughbto give you epilepsy or at least leave your head spinning.

Looks good for Stormzy to be #1, those signed Mariah vinyls haven't had much impact and I'm sure he will increase his lead on Monday.

Then Mariah will close the gap and potentially overtake on Wednesday and Thursday so ultimately tomorrow's update is still quite meaningless right now

not sure why you're all saying this is a very positive update for Mariah

if something, it shows her physicals haven't been very strong

 

for the storrmzy-mariah race, what matters is how many streams Mariah does on the 24th and 25th, she needs to do even better than last year

as Stormzy is doing much better than Ava did

I think it's actually quite likely Stormzy will have lower sales this week than Ava did to get the post-Xmas #1 last year (he did 68k last week and will likely drop this week, while Ava did 65k that week). Whereas Mariah has been consistently having higher weekly sales compared to the same week last year, and this year the post-Xmas chart has an entire extra day of the peak Christmas song streaming period included. Mariah should be able to get #1 unless the massive increase in Christmas song streams on the 24th/25th somehow doesn't materialise this year.

Ellie's team should put River on iTunes and Spotify now, this would guarantee her #1.

 

I still prefer Mariah (who I really can't stand) to be #1 over kinda non-event cover (although I love Ellie, still)

Bjork may be right, but (1) last year Mariah was #4 in the Xmas Eve Monday mid, behind thank u next which she finished 15k ahead of; (2) Ava did almost 15k in pure sales that week, helped by the gift token effect after Xmas of which Own It will have one day fewer this year; (3) it appears Spotify is not quote as dominant and Amazon has taken some of its share, where Mariah is faring much better than Own It right now.
