Exactly, that's why J Hus makes more sense than Bieber whose song isn't out for another week, and there's no reason to suggest there won't be a new playlist as usual next Friday...!
December 27, 20196 yr In recent yeard they've published a playlist every week as normal even around this time of year so there's no reason to think they won't next week. It does seem a little unfair on the songs on the playlist though as they won't be getting the same amount of spins as they would at another time of year. I assume the past two week are affected by this because they play a lot of seasonal songs in the week before Xmas but that's why they stall a lot of tracks they will A List into the new year proper on the B List such as Roxanne, Saturday, Is This Love & Falling. December 28, 20196 yr When's the last time two No1s in a row weren't on the radio 1 playlist? Can we count LadBaby though? It’s a novelty song with a week’s high promotion for its purpose of delivering the Xmas #1 and Ellie is a Christmas song which Radio 1 don’t playlist.

January 2, 20206 yr Well, I’ve had a brief run through of tracks played over the last couple of days and I genuinely think the TBC listing was a mistake, can’t see anything that’s been played regularly that’s not on this week’s playlist
January 2, 20206 yr Author The only thing that would make sense is that there's no playlist update tomorrow and the TBC is Bieber - as some have suggested. But I have no idea why they'd do that. We'll find out in the morning anyway.
