Following the breakthrough success of the Timbaland remix of "Apologize" from their 2006 debut Dreaming Out Loud, OneRepublic continued to rack up radio hits. They reached a peak with 2013's Native, which was home to the hit singles "Counting Stars" and "Love Runs Out." With each successive album, OneRepublic veered more and more into pop territory, especially evident on their fourth album, 2016's Oh My My, which featured electronic dance and pop flourishes. Tedder and Zach Filkins formed the band in 2002 in Colorado, later relocating to Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter, they incorporated keyboardist Drew Brown, bassist/cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher in the lineup. OneRepublic then signed with Sony BMG's Columbia label in 2003; three years later, however, the bandmates returned from a performance at Coachella to find themselves dropped from Columbia's roster. Nevertheless, OneRepublic's popularity continued to soar on social media, and Tedder helped raise the group's profile by penning songs for artists like Hilary Duff and Blake Lewis. Hip-hop producer Timbaland (with whom Tedder had already worked for several years) took notice of the group's audience and signed OneRepublic to his own Mosley Music Group, a joint venture with Interscope Records. Timbaland also remixed one of the group's most promising tracks, "Apologize," and included it on his own album, 2007's Timbaland Presents Shock Value. The song quickly became a platinum-selling single in many countries, breaking airplay records in the U.K. and selling an unprecedented 4.3 million digital downloads in America alone. Later that year, OneRepublic stepped out on their own with Dreaming Out Loud, a debut album filled with piano-fueled songwriting and pop/rock melodies. The album quickly went gold, and "Apologize" continued to top the singles charts in multiple countries. Another Tedder-penned track, Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," experienced similar success at the same time, thus making Tedder one of the year's most celebrated songwriters. OneRepublic began writing songs for a second album in 2008, and the group later decamped to Colorado Springs to avoid outside distractions. Although initially planned for a summer release, Waking Up wasn't completed until September 2009. The album's lead single, "All the Right Moves," was released to radio that same month, and the album followed in November, charting in the U.S. and Europe. In 2013, OneRepublic returned with their platinum-certified third studio album, Native, featuring the singles "Feel Again," "If I Lose Myself," and their biggest hit to date, "Counting Stars," a U.S. number two. During the group's subsequent extensive world tour, a deluxe version of Native was released, featuring the hit "Love Runs Out," which reached number 15 on the Hot 100 and was a Top Ten hit in several other countries. They also landed on the Billboard 200 with their 2014 iTunes Session. As touring continued, the band began recording its follow-up album. Written in 16 cities across 12 countries, Oh My My captured the sound and flavor of locales like Turkey, Brazil, Spain, and Russia, and was released in late 2016. The album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. The following year, while on tour with Fitz & the Tantrums and James Arthur, the band released the stand-alone single "No Vacancy," a tropical-tinged track that featured Sebastian Yatra and Amir on a pair of remixes. After several more stand-alone singles scattered throughout 2017, OneRepublic returned in 2018 with "Connection," the first single from their forthcoming fifth studio LP. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2007 03 Apologize (Timbaland presents OneRepublic) -1- 2007 04 Stop And Stare -2- 2008 51 Say (All I Need) -3- 2010 30 All The Right Moves -1- 2010 77 Secrets -2- 2013 01 Counting Stars -1- MILLION SELLER 2014 07 If I Lose Myself (OneRepublic & Alesso) -2- 2014 03 Love Runs Out -3- 2014 29 I Lived -4- 2014 78 Something I Need -AT- 2016 29 Wherever I Go -1- 2016 58 Kids -2- 2017 84 Rich Love (feet. In 2007, 23-year-old Calvin Harris released I Created Disco, a cheeky shot across dance music’s bow that presented him as Scotland’s brow-arched answer to LCD Soundsystem. Fast-forward a few years, and the scruffy fellow playing house-party host in the “Merrymaking at My Place” video is suddenly baring oil-slicked abs on Calvin Klein billboards. What happened, of course, is that Harris (born Adam Richard Wiles in 1984) traded up from the Amiga computer of his teens, developed some of the best studio chops in the business with deep-house rollers like 2013's “Thinking About You,” and helped spark EDM’s pop crossover with hits for Rihanna, Florence Welch, Ellie Goulding, and others. Along the way, he became one of the 2010s’ first DJ/producer/songwriter polymaths to earn top billing even on the songs in which he didn’t sing. No stranger to pyro-lit main stages—his percussive, synth-strafed 2014 single “C.U.B.A.” is big-room house at its most gargantuan—Harris has resisted getting boxed into any one sound. On 2017’s Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, he lays down a set of slinky R&B jams for Frank Ocean, Migos, and Young Thug, while the 2018 singles “Promises,” with Sam Smith, and “One Kiss,” with Dua Lipa, proved just how versatile his vision of pop can be. - iTunes Dua Lipa Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə ˈliːpə/; born 22 August 1995) is an English singer, songwriter and model. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her eponymous debut album in 2017. The album yielded seven singles, including two UK top-ten singles "Be the One" and "IDGAF" and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also reached number six in the United States. The single "One Kiss", with Calvin Harris, reached number one in the UK, and became the longest running number one for a female artist in 2018. The success of the singles helped her self-titled album to become the most streamed female album ever on Spotify and to achieve platinum certifications in several countries. In 2019, she released "Don't Start Now", lead single from her upcoming second studio album, Future Nostalgia, scheduled to be released in 2020. Lipa has been the recipient of three Brit Awards and two Grammy Awards. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History Calvin Harris 2007 10 Acceptable In The 80s -1- 2007 03 The Girls -2- 2007 43 Merrymaking At My Place -3- 2008 01 Dance Wiv Me (Dizzee Rascal feat. They achieved popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement; they also had success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, techno, disco, rock and synthpop. They have worn ornate helmets and gloves to assume robot personas in most public appearances since 1999 and rarely grant interviews or appear on television. The duo were managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter (also known as Busy P), the head of Ed Banger Records. After Bangalter and Homem-Christo's indie rock band Darlin' disbanded, they began experimenting with drum machines and synthesisers. Their debut studio album Homework was released by Virgin Records in 1997 to positive reviews, backed by singles "Around the World" and "Da Funk". Their second album, Discovery, had further success, supported by hit singles "One More Time", "Digital Love" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". In March 2005, Daft Punk released their third album, Human After All, to mixed reviews, though the singles "Robot Rock" and "Technologic" achieved success in the United Kingdom. Daft Punk toured throughout 2006 and 2007 and released the live album Alive 2007, which won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. They composed the score for the film Tron: Legacy, which was released in 2010 alongside its soundtrack album. In 2013, Daft Punk left Virgin for Columbia Records, and released their fourth album, Random Access Memories, to acclaim; lead single "Get Lucky" reached the top 10 in the charts of 32 countries. Random Access Memories won five Grammy Awards in 2014, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Get Lucky". In 2016, Daft Punk gained their first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Starboy", a collaboration with The Weeknd. January 5, 20206 yr Was never overly keen on Counting Stars, and disliked it during its period of overplay. One Kiss  Probably the last time a UK EOY #1 nearly made my EOY #1, what a song that is. Havana was brilliant too, probably the best thing to come from the Latin pop trend. Get Lucky  Really deserves to be a bit higher than 36 considering how massive it was but I'll take it, as one of my absolute faves of the decade.
January 5, 20206 yr 'Get Lucky' is a little bit over-rated for me, maybe again because of the overplaying. However it is better, and has aged better, than most of the other stuff that was around in the top 10 in the summer of 2013.
January 5, 20206 yr This is very contrarian of me but 'Get Lucky' was one of my least favorite hits of the decade :( I can just about appreciate it now though.

January 5, 20206 yr I remember this being played at quite a loud volume at a party I went to and how awful the drop and its synths sounded. The verses are decent enough though. Edited January 5, 20206 yr by JanuarySaleSnake
