I’m seeing posts on Twitter that the music video is 25 minutes long...!

Unpopular opinion but I'm not actually a fan of long music videos. I remember watching 'Marry the Night' for the first time and thinking "is it really necessary for it to be nearly 15 minutes long?". I like a little bit of introduction or interlude but I've yet to see a music video that I think really requires quite so much extra time.

 

I'm sure I'll be living for the shortened version though. I'm loving the vibrant colours we've been seeing so far. The whole package of the song seems all about love, life and positive vibes and the pop scene is in need of some effortlessly fun music.

It's not actually a storyline heavy video (despite the trailers suggesting otherwise). I mean there's a story there of course, but it's not like Paparazzi/Telephone kinda storytelling, it's ultimately a video of a popstar doing choreo scenes for the most part. It's a really stunningly shot vid. The colour palette, the cinematography being bold and vibrant. Gorgeous. As a video it's a standard pop star video (which is NOT a bad thing), just with more budget!

 

I like it A LOT. It suits and sells the song and that's obviously the most important thing. I just don't think there's much to talk about other than how it looks etc..

Hearing the song for the first time again since it leaked (where I listened to it on repeat for a while - to get used to it) and it's not really changed my mind on the song :lol: It's still solid and decent but it's not a career high for me, personally. But it gives me BTW era vibes and if the album is anywhere near that overall, I'm absolutely here for it and will bop to it ofc.

 

I mainly just want this to do well because it's her at this point and we NEED pop to do well again! Sick to death of this Spotify-fodder that smashes all the time nowadays.

Yeah it’s decent, it’s certainly not her best though. Agree that it sounds a bit like Born This Way.

Really suits the song and the choreo is very Born This Way era but I’ve never seen a more bright and colourful not so much dark in tone Gaga video before since Eh Eh! What a bright comeback video for her.

 

Chromatica definitely appears to be the album title too.

It's decent! Not a career beat or anything groundbreaking but hopefully it can be a indicator of things to come and it's so nice to see pop GaGa back :wub:
