I’m so intrigued to see how people think this sounds like Born This Way! It got those comments when the leak happened too. I think it’s more like The Fame era Gaga in terms of sound like I wouldn’t place it on any of her other albums apart from that as it’s carefree fun pop. I think there’ll be more experimental stuff on the album but it’s best she comeback with something like this what isn’t really divisive.

It's more the message that's Born This Way for me.

 

Some of my friends on Twitter say that this sounds like it's produced by Justice and I can hear that!

I think the delay was because of the video! And wanting it released at the same time.

A better lead single than PI or Applause, and the production sounds a *lot* better than the leak I heard.

 

However on the flip I'm not mad on the chorus (what even is stupid love...?) as it sounds a bit ESL pop. I don't dislike it but I was hoping for sometghing more 'my old stuff but modern' in the vein of KP's Never Really Over. However...she could have brought us a lot worse!

i also listened to it just once when it leaked and it definitely stuck with me all this time until release. can't argue the catchiness of it all but i'm still finding it hard to stan. decent but not the best thing in the world

I am definitely hearing ARTPOP vibes the most when it comes to previous eras! The production sounding like 'Do What U Want' specifically came into my head too. The production is actually the highlight for me right now, I'm not too crazy about the rest of the song, it's a little more basic than I wanted. Hope it grows more as it feels so weird to not be stanning a GaGa lead on day 1!

We need another top 5 on the official chart for miss Gaga, so you better step it up UK Monsters!

I do like it but also echo the comments about the chorus not being the greatest, particularly as that is usually the greatest hook of a song. Oh well, i'll take it for now.

I prefer the song to the video but I do like it, it's got an 80s/90s vibe.

 

From the teasers on Instagram I assumed the video was going to be longer for some reason.

 

I like it but I do feel as if there could be more going on in the chorus. Still it's really nice to see her return to her older pop sound.
