Eminem's last album has a 2nd week of 35k and 3rd week of 29k, but this one is selling 8k less than that album's first mid week

Really must not ever underestimate Courteeners' persistent relevance again  (not that they'll stay ahead of Eminem obviously but looks like it'll be easily a first top 2 album for them and might beat the opening sales of their last proper album). Nice to see Bombay Bicycle Club are at least comfortably in the top 3 at the moment (and should stay at least #4 by the end of the week if not holding onto #3?), 12k in the first mids is better than I expected, they might beat the 10-15k that I was predicting.

Top end of the singles chart is indeed looking very close, Roddy could well close a 1.1k gap... (also hooray that 'Darkness' has indeed overtaken 'Unaccommodating')

#1 single could still go either way between the top 3 then I think,

Eminem's outdoing Stormzy on AM/Spotify at the moment so he could overtake and get the double.

surprised how far behind Roddy is though, but there's still a possibility he could get a last minute surge when AM/Spotify catch up.

Eminem was only 200 units behind in the First Look chart so he's falling behind Stormzy. I assume Roddy is gaining on Stormzy since he's gone up from #5 to #3. Would quite confidently say it'll be #3 at absolute best for Eminem now unless he gets a boost later in the week, but unsure about the #1 between Stormzy and Roddy.

almost 12k is good going for Bombay so far, roughly what I expected for the whole week!

Shocking that Courteeners are ahead of Eminem. I expect Eminem to overtake by Friday. I also hope Roddy overtakes Stormzy and that the 1975 can remain top 40

Can’t see Stormzy being #1 again this week he’s at #6 on Spotify now so it should be The Box as singles #1.

The Weeknd to hopefully keep a top 5 position in singles though. Blinding Lights is a TUNE. My personal #1

Pet Shop Boys should do about 15k next week, and will probably nose ahead in the opening midweeks, but I guess even on streams and downloads alone Eminem will be looking at a 20k second week at worst.

Shame as I was hoping they could get their first No.1 in nearly 30 years.

Shame Pet Shop Boys are performing tonight on The One Show, could have waited a week :(

Digdat being pushed out of the top 10 by the LewCap staleness

If Someone You Loved insists of staying top 10 a year after it got there it may as well keep out crap like 8mile whilst its there

you gotta feel a bit sorry for Courteneers, such stellar sales but they're not gonna get rewarded with a #1, really thought it would be closer between them and Bombay, at least Bombay look certain for #3

still think The Box will win easily when adding the missing data

Oh that's really good for Courteeners, nice to be right. Thought they'd still be a contender selling 20k, didn't think they'd have a chance to have increased sales in comparison to their previous album.
I bought a newly released album on Bandcamp at the weekend. Does anyone know if sales on there get counted for chart purposes?

I've always thought it's crazy how the PSB have only ever had one No. 1 album!

Me too, there is a feeling they have had far more Number 1 albums.

The new album is sure to go Top 5, they previously have had midweek number 1 albums but never hold on.
