but still don't get how Godzilla has been ahead of The Box

On Spotify, The Box was well ahead all week and Godzilla only caught up yesterday

on Apple, The Box has also always been ahead except a few hours on Saturday

on Amazon, The Box definitely always ahead with big difference

only on itunes Godzilla was ahead but was on 0.25 and The Box at 0.10, which is just a 100 copies difference per day...

I think Godzilla is ahead on YouTube too?

STREAM DEAR HAPPY

I second this. Miss You 2 should be a huge hit. The album is a great return to form for Gabrielle Aplin.

I will be happy with Louise going top 10. Not a perfect album by any means, but plenty of great stuff on there.

Shame Halsey isn’t doing better, but I imagine it will be a consistent seller as You Should Be Sad blows up.

I thought neither Godzilla nor The Box had a video, thought Eminem only had a video for Darkness
Yes, despite not having a music video it’s still showing up near the top on Kworb?

yes but I believe kworb shows also videos that don't count for the charts, cos sure The Box doesn't have a video and is in there, same for Godzilla

What do you mean videos that don’t count for the charts? Don’t audio streams and video streams count in the same way for the charts?
it's only user generated content that doesn't count - 'The Box' has an official audio and official lyric video which both count. 'Godzilla' also has an official audio upload.
It was widely expected to be a huge hit so it flopping was a huge surprise to many.

I think that's a testament to just how much of an almighty mess the Reputation era ended up being, even Ed Sheeran couldn't provide her with a hit at that point.

The only official upload of 'Godzilla' is an auto-generated one (well two of them, an explicit version and a clean version) though I assume those do count to the chart anyway. It's actually bleeding views to a couple of unofficial uploads with several million views each, and there was a third one masquerading as an official video as well which has now been deleted.

So Eminem has increased his lead by 100 copies!

I still think The Weeknd could potentially be #1 next week though

Do shop pre orders count for the album chart? Ie if HMV order 5k copies or something? Or is it only when individuals buy them?
Less than 500 sales between #1 and #3 in the Wednesday mids, this has to be one of the best battles for #1 we’ve had in ages!

Sales for the top 3 yesterday: Eminem ~7.7k, Roddy ~7.8k, Stormzy ~6.9k. Stormzy probably out of the running now then as both of the others are pulling ahead (watch him claw it back now I've said that x) but Eminem and Roddy could definitely finish within a few hundred of each other either way at this rate.

Really hoping Bombay Bicycle Club's album will stay at #3 but Lewis is closing the gap pretty quickly D: (have just realised that it'll still be only their second top 5 album either way though so #4 would still not be too bad really)

I don't think Roddy will catch up in time tbh, especially with Godzilla being closer to it now on Spotify than it was over the weekend
I don't know why, but I expected a little better for Halsey albums wise :( Maybe she would've fared better last week.
