No - I don’t open anything

You won’t ever see the signed Disco booklet if you don’t unseal a copy!

I respect that we’re all different with this sort of thing, but I’ve never seen the point in keeping something sealed unless your intention & end goal is to sell them on and try and make a profit. If the items are only ever intended for your own enjoyment, then I feel like it’s a shame not to open them and appreciate the product as a whole item - looking through the booklet etc.

I generally try and get 2 of signed items, I got 2 of the signed DISCO CD's so I can open one and look at it/frame it and then keep the other mint :)

A good idea! I did consider getting 2 of the signed copies, but I couldn’t really justify it.

(I’ve pre-ordered so many different albums; Kylie is just the tip of the iceberg in November 🙈 Ariana Grande [cd/cassette], Steps [cd/vinyl/cassette], Mariah [4 of her albums on vinyl], Spice Girls [Forever vinyl], Little Mix [cd/vinyl], Troye Sivan [vinyl]... 🤭)

Here’s a first look at the Disco blue vinyl!

That’s why I ordered more than 1 of the signed CD - so that I can open one, and so that fingers crossed I’ll get one that says ‘Love Kylie’ on it and one that has ‘ Kylie’ on it.

I agree that I miss out on some amazing Kylie items, for example I’ve never opened the PWL box sets etc., but I’ve been collecting for so long that I’m not going to change it now. There is a real divide between collectors - some that open items and some that don’t.

I think collectors are incredible, buying something and not opening it is very hard, having to buy 2 copies so you can open 1 is very expensive, for years i thought i had a really good Kylie collection but when i compare my collection to someones like you A my collection is very minuscule.

A clip from Kylie's interview with Zane Lowe:

And a synopsis of the full interview from PopJustice forums:

- Zane says the album is rich sounding and start to finish is dripping in ‘tasteful disco’. He’s a huge fan of the genre and loves the album and the crying on the dance floor vibe Kylie captured. He says the album is endearing and people will love it from the get go.

- Zane says it’s a melodic album and a true performance record but she’s singing across the whole thing and sounds like she’s having a lot of fun.

- She said she was meant to write in LA mostly with Teemu Brunila, but that was shifted to Zoom meetings. Kylie says she only ever knew him via Zoom even though they spent hours and hours together and he worked on the record a lot.

-Between everyone working differently and different remote setups between producers, she was home alone a lot and had exhausted herself with the pressure of doing it all herself. She says she’s very detail obsessed and the song ‘Miss A Thing’ came from a day where she cracked and couldn’t get the vocal she wanted. A few days later she heard the song and the vocal she delivered was from that day and she had no idea.

- She agrees it’s a very melody driven record and feels it when she’s rehearsing. Having toured for years she feels she finally knows what she’s doing and feels mostly confident and loves it on stage. When she’s recording music she’s already thinking of staging her shows and how the music will translate to the stage.

- Zane says he’s a huge fan of Kylie and Wow is one of his favourite songs of hers and is a banger. The first time he heard it he had to play it in his DJ set. She tells the story about how they wrote it in Ibiza.

- He thinks the music she made after her breast cancer and her new lease on life has been leading to Disco. He thinks the album is a genuine reflection of how far she’s come and is arms wide open for the future with this joyous record.

- She says that Golden was introspective and was about getting back to human experience and exploring what went wrong with her failed relationship and mistakes she’d made. She was reclaiming her sense of self with Golden and could see clearly because of it.

- She speaks about the Studio 54 section of the Golden Tour being the inspiration for the album (yeah we know this story so I’m moving on). She feels that life is good - 2020 is it’s own thing, but in her own little world she feels good about the future, and that’s why this album is forward facing and optimistic.

- The album is reflective of the time and the moment - we don’t know what’s coming so it’s about seizing the joy you can.

- People are protective of Kylie by nature due to her past and are constantly looking out for her. Zane asks if it’s a cause for concern for her that it’s the case when this album proves she’s doing fine and is forging ahead. She says that the protectiveness doesn’t limit her so much to behave a certain way - she minds her P’s and Q’s in public and not so much in private - but she isn’t pretending. The flow of love from people is an incredible thing she’s grateful for.

- She says it’s too hard to break Glastonbury down but the connection and history of it was off the charts. She knows she’ll never experience anything like that again.

- Zane says she’s lived her life very privately but is still is so famous. She says it’s hard to have a line between the two but feels lucky to have come so far. She was thrown in at the deep end and had no help on how to navigate it but thinks she’s done ok.

-She tells a story of getting stuck in the robot outfit on the Fever tour and her Showgirl costume falling apart.

-Zane asks how she’s going to stage the album and if she’ll be revisiting the Studio 54 vibes from the Golden tour. She says she wants to perform it in-the-round and with this album and dipping into her discography she wants to stage a huge dance club rather than a typical show.

-She said she fell back in love with music with Golden and wanted to reach a point where she could lift off. Golden had to work and there was a lot of pressure on that record - and it did - so she could take it where she wanted to. She’s still curious and tenacious and wants to explore more.

I can’t actually believe we’re getting DISCO this week - it feels like it’s been forever but now with all that’s going on it’s suddenly upon us
After such a long wait it is disappointing the album will have huge challenges due to the pandemic.

If those preorders numbers are true, Kylie will open respectively with just those sales alone.

I'm very surprised at both arianas and Sam's sales, interesting to see the breakdown of physical sales but ya kylie would have beaten them this week, part of me hopes little mix sales are lower than expected for their debut week, I'm happy for them to well after that as I do like them it's just I like kylie far more.

It's Tuesday....

We are sooooo close

Time to really support her with buying Disco and downloading Say Something and Magic and also streaming everything we can as much as we can

Anyone have any insight into why the marble vinyl will only be available until the 9th?
Anyone have any insight into why the marble vinyl will only be available until the 9th?

i have a feeling a new Vinyl could come out on 9th or 10th maybe a picture disc and they will not want people cancelling orders etc and ordering this. its only my own theory of course. she has promo on The One Show and they will likely have something to release later in the week if the battle with Little Mix is close. So get these all shipped out on 9th and a new format sold on 10th? who knows

it says only available until 9th or less if it is sold out ? you can still order 99 copies of it so its nowhere near selling out.
