Janine would be the ideal person to return and takeover the Vic, if mick and linda do actually leave the vic i wonder how they will fit in when not in the vic all the time. I do miss drunk Linda, she was excellent.

Whitney is starting to feel like misery porn now. Nothing can ever go right for her and I stopped caring about her a long time ago. Last nights episode I cared about Stuart, Rainie, Jean, Kush and that’s it. Sharon a little bit but they’ve butchered to aftermath of Christmas AND the anniversary.

For me whitney should have went years ago, her storylines never connect with me I'm more oh go away you fool as she never seems to learn.

Whitney is past her sell by date as a character.

I think the scriptwriters are at a loss with Bobby, the character direction is very all over the place with no clarity.

Are they and is it? Bobby may not be centre stage right now but there’s plenty to do with him and he’s been very consistent since he returned. He just needs a look in and I believe he’s going to get one this week?

Bobby has been one of the highlights of Oates and Sen, Clay gets that awkward troubled teenagerness brilliantly. Not sure about

I really hope they can persuade Dot to come back for a proper exit storyline, the current storyline would be fine if June had passed away in real life, thankfully that is not the case and it would be nice if June returned and gave Dot a proper send off for the legend the character is.

This was totally the Sonia in her first scene today yelling Whitney for breakfast.

 

Good episode today, Issac's characterisation is so inconsistent though. He's a concerned teacher, louty drunk and filled with anger all at the same time

100%, it's worse than ever now but I honestly think the last time she was worth being in the show for an extended period was the stuff with Rob. Since then it's been rinse and repeat man trouble but this misery porn of things getting worse and worse for her is especially excruciating!

If Whitney ever does leave the show I hope to god she leaves on a positive note and goes off to become successful without a man in her life.

 

I’d be shocked if she ever did go now though! She’s definitely stayed longer than I ever thought she would. Shona could definitely do well in theatre / the west end as she’s a great singer but its hard to imagine her on TV as anything other than Whitney she’d need to do something drastic to change perceptions like a period drama or a comedy perhaps.

Ya whitney just needs to be cleared of murder and head out of the square for good or else we are back to another relationship that will end in tears although I have this feeling something will happen with her and max as the whole we are not actually related thing will be there scape goat.

What's the point of max and ruby? Ruby seems just wasted, stuart and rainie just seem stuck in loop and the new family I just cant make head nor tail of what direction they are going in, I can't even remember there names as i type this.

Keegan and tiffany are just to whiney, I just feel the show has gone backwards again as the episodes feel dragged out and going round in circles.

Chantelle and Gray is the only storyline I have a real interest in right now. With Dot I would prefer an on screen death but it does look like June wont come back, it's an awful way for june to leave after so long on the show and dot is an eastenders legend that needs a proper send off, I understand June's point on rubbish storylines but i would like if she had talked to them and said she is quitting and wants a proper exit storyline and for them to honour it.

Also the problem with Whitney is she kinda dug her own grave, if she’d just phoned the police straight away when Leo died it’d have been self defence easily and nothing would’ve happened, but she chose to get dressed up and go on a boat while the body lay in the iamspamspamami destroying her whole defence case. Ik this is how it always works with self defence killings in soaps (Callum in corrie, Ray in EE) but still :’)
