I think it's time to give this series a revival (as I've just remembered about it)

 

Anne-Marie is set to return to the chart with new single 'Birthday' but how does it compare to other people's birthdays? (that went top 40) Whose birthday party will you be going to?

 

None of these are particularly great (out of those I've heard) so I'll go for Katy's even if she has quite a few better songs.

So I was just randomly listening to Kim Wilde's 'Here Come The Aliens' album from a couple of years ago (mostly because I'd forgotten about it), and just as I opened this thread, what song on that album should start playing but a song called... 'Birthday'. Now I'm really freaked out, what is going on? :mellow:

 

Anyway, once I'd got over that I voted for Will.I.Am & Cody Wise, I know it's a bit of a naff song but it's always been a bit of a guilty pleasure for me!

maybe I'm biased but my first thought was Sugarcubes - Birthday

It's My Birthday is my fav out of these. Katy Perry a close second. I still listen to it every year on my birthday lmao.

Has to be will.i.am. An iconic song. Stevie Wonder a close second.

Yes I went for the will.i.am/Cody Wise song too.

 

I usually like early 80s songs but the Altered Images song is too poppy for me. Follow-up hit 'See Those Eyes' is easily better imo.

Peaked at 65 the first two times it was released, but it was later remixed and got all the way to... 64!

It's the most well known for me and the fact it's got so many bites and is 40 years old kinda shows that.
