February 29, 20205 yr It's a shame, but I'm not surprised. There was such a huge gap between that and 'Adore You' that it felt completely seperate from the rest of the era. "Overtime" was released early October 2018 and "Adore You" mid February 2019 so pretty standard gap between singles really (about 4 months). "Mirage" wasn't out until early November 2019 - she could've gotten pregnant and had a baby between "Adore You" and that! :D It's an era now anyway where we can just tack it on at the end of the album if we want. I very rarely tend to listen to the deluxe version of an album but this could be an exception (it'd surely be on a deluxe edition). "Spotlight" itself is glorious, gets better on each listen, a return to the A* grade of "Overtime" and "Adore You" (I'd give "Mirage" a B).
February 29, 20205 yr Very much looking forward to this but would also like to echo the "where the feck's Overtime?" comments.
March 1, 20205 yr I can't believe you guys haven't commented on the gorgeous video. You can always Overtime when the album is out on Spotify.
March 6, 20205 yr I hadn't cared for anything post-Devotion (she fell too far into MOR territory) but everything from this album has been fantastic and the perfect sound for her. I'm obsessed with the popping synth effect towards the end of the song.
April 22, 20205 yr Author "Ooh La La" will be released in two weeks.Actually, it will be out this Friday. @1253005680770002946
April 24, 20205 yr she ticks all of the "i should really like this" boxes but I think I only 'loved' one song she ever released. :(
April 24, 20205 yr I'm not a fan of the new one on first two listens. It's the first thing she's released that hasn't hit me immediately, but perhaps it will grow.
