Seen it loads and still love

Pheom performance by Hayley joel osment, a kid at the time who wasn't even a teenage when he did the movie. Should of won the oscar he was up for.

Just watched The Prestige, thought it was good throughout, but you really see the brilliant when you see all the twists at the end.
I have been watching the Lord of the Ring trilogy for the first time!

I really should stop posting this clip at every oppotunity, but it's just too funny.

I don't buy dvd's often so i am gonna post the movies i have seen on Television

Gosford Park - Incredibly dull and boring. Takes well over an hour for the plot to even begin and i am not exagerating. When it does, it has less than an hour to be all resolved.

Girl with a pearl earring - Despite being the lead, Scarlett perhaps has the least to say yet i have never seen her act before and must say she played the part fantastically. Colin firth plays a good role. Overall a good movie that ends in an ambiguous way and leaves you wanting to know more.

The Boat That Rocked - I borrowed the DVD from my sister who'd been saying 'watch it' for ages! So totally has gone into my top 20 best ever films. Philip Seymour Hoffman is just brilliant (as is the whole cast) ... but Hoffman was just so perfect as the 'Emperor Rosko' type DJ.

just watched Nowhere Boy, the John Lennon biopic, didnt think it was anything special as biopic's go, but Aaron Johnson was fantastic in it.
Happy go lucky. One of the most funniest movies i have seen in a long time. Outstanding golden globe winning performance by Sally hawkins.

Studio Ghibli's Only Yesterday which I got for a quid in a charity shop.

Such a beautiful film and so nice to hear the original Japanese sound track after seeing all those dubbed versions on FilmFour.

That is perhaps one of my favourite Studio Ghibli films. The ending is one of the finest I've ever seen (and a great use of 'The Rose'), it almost has me in tears everytime I see it. Funnily enough, Only Yesterday is one of the few Studio Ghibli films that didn't get a Disney dub. I don't think the executives thought a 10 minute discussion about periods would be family friendly enough for the American audiences.

Quite coincidentally, the last DVD I bought was Pom Poko, which is directed by Isao Takahata as well. This film did get dubbed and distributed in America, which surprises me, giving that inflating testicles is one of the major themes of the film.

Watched a indie film from 1992 last night called 'In The Soup' and starred Steve Buscemi.

'Walk Hard: Dewey Cox Story'. My mate leant it to me as he told me to watch it and stuff. I was a bit sceptical to watch it at first as it's basically a spoof version of one of my favourite films! ('Walk The Line')

It was alright. Nothing special. Don't think I'd watch it again (well not so soon anyway) though as it's fairly boring and often not very funny... Had it's moments for sure and the songs were actually quite good, but I'll stick to the original film, that it spoofs/parodies, thanks.

I just watched Drop Dead Gorgeous

It was freaking epic. I LOVED Britney Murphy outing her brother to her dad, that was classic. I still can't believe she's gone

Shaun of the dead. Funny. So great. People have raved to me about this for years and finally got a chance to see it as we are studying british films at college at the moment. Very few movies make me laugh. Simon Pegg did a fantastic performance.

Notes on a scandal. A pheomenal performance by Judi Dench. Only seen her in the bond films so this was a step up for me. Cate Blanchett throughou was alright but her performance was it it's best by the end. A disturbing thriller. Would only watch it the once. Doesn't have the re watchable factor

Boys don't cry

What a performance by Hilary swank. A hard hitting movie that i enjoyed, yet i was deeply disturbed and upset by the very end. I really applaude Hilary for her performance in the movie. Oscar very much well deserved.

Heathers!

Christian Slater was a douche in his youth already! And God why did the kids in the 80's wore clothes that would look hideous even on their parents? And who one earth would want to have sex with a 17-year old?

Dear John - 6/10

Monster - 8/10. Incredible performance by Theron and Ricci. Shame Ricci was not nominated at all. Oscar very well deserved by Theron.
