So sad about the 21 year old girl, Chloe, with no underlying illness whatsoever. Also the 36 year old in South London, again no previous illnesses at all. Husband rang 999, paramedic came and said she wasn't ill enough to go in hospital yet she couldn't breathe and was writhing in agony on the floor. She deteriorated overnight but they wouldn't come out again and next day she was dead. Would she still have died in hospital? Who knows but maybe not. If I'd been her husband I'd have taken her in my car or a taxi to A&E.

So next week will be 7 days off for everyone in Russia officially. Putin just announced it yesterday. Doesn't quite affect me at all as I'm working from home and technically not in Russia but yeah. They think people will still be at home lmao such naïvety. I just saw some dumb bitch on ig posting YET AGAIN that he's outside and meeting up with friends too. All of it one week after coming back from Europe. Sigh. I just can't. Can we do a lockdown as well pretty plz?

As the government gives lucrative ventilator contracts to Brexit-backing Tory donors such as Dyson and JCB, some suspect an outbreak of cronyvirus."

Newsnight last night frustrated existing manufacturers saying it will take them weeks to upscale existing production for parts and they already know what they are doing, thanks to Gov ignoring them weeks ago when they offered to increase production to the NHS, as opposed to Dyson having to invent something from scratch. Odd choice given they have experience only in stuff that sucks.

Tim Martin says hi.

Ah yes, Tim Martin. This particular multi-millionaire seems determined to be crowned the ultimate villain of the crisis. Not only has he said he won't be paying his staff until he receives the money from the government, he has also said he won't be paying his suppliers - for goods already delivered - until he is allowed to open again. Let's hope that when his pubs do open again, his customers decide to go elsewhere.

Awful but that's him to a tee. Hope his suppliers all band together and sue him.

He's said he doesn't care if all his staff go to the supermarkets who are recruiting. Says bar staff are ten a penny and he can easily replace them 5 times over when he re-opens.

His argument, and I can see in a way where he's coming from, is that by going to supermarkets and on the tube still, people are putting themselves at MORE risk than if they were in a pub.

So if you breach the lockdown, you can get a fine of £60 (reduced to £30 if paid within two weeks). If you’ve breached it before, the fine is doubled to a maximum of £960!
Rumours abundant that Australia will be in full lockdown starting Sunday/Monday
How are these 80% payments to self-employed going to work exactly. What's to stop a taxi driver earning say £700 a week saying he earned £1,400 a week? Some will try it on.

It's based on tax returns from the past three years.

Went to Tesco earlier and it was dead. Only me on the bus and roads deserted. It's eerie, like the end of the world or something, quite unnerving. Full shelves, even loo roll stacked high. I got exactly what I wanted quickly and back home. They had the Iams dog food I needed and couple of other stuff too. Still limited to two items each which is sensible. Plenty of pasta and baked beans too.

Don’t tell me you actually bought more loo roll?

No I didn't but could have. There were loads and about 5 people in the shop. A worker told me the busiest is 6-8am as they only let about 10 in then it's one out and another in.

How the hell did Prince Charles get tested for Mild symptoms while NHS workers can't????

Apparently he didn't jump the queue and qualified to be tested. ;)

How did he qualify? Is a member of the NHS not more important as if they have it and are now immune that's very important to know?

Does it matter if he jumped the queue? I wouldn't mind one jot if he did as he's the heir to the throne and King soon. Of course he needs testing to see if he has it so he can be more closely monitored and isolated from other royals.

I'd mind if Andrew had a test before others though.

Steve, do you want the next Monarch to die prematurely from the virus when he could have 20-30 more years left? I certainly don't.

I bet if William as much as coughs he'll get one too.
