I think Kylie and the team will be very happy with how successful the wine has been, its def been alot more successful than i thought it would and whats even more impressive is that it continues to grow in popularity which means those who tried it out are now repeat customers which is what they would have hoped for. Its a great earner for Kylie and is also great for keeping her name out there, interesting to see how it perform over the next 12 months with the way things are as i think everyone in many parts of the world are struggling with rising costs of living.

Kylie Minogue to launch non-alcoholic sparkling rosé wine

Kylie Minogue is to launch a non-alcoholic wine.

The Australian star, whose wine brand with Benchmark Drinks has taken the supermarkets by storm over the past year, is set to launch a 0% sparkling Rosé into 700 Tesco stores and Booker retail partners, with a further two retailers to follow in January.

The drink is claimed to have an “acidic balance mirroring that found in wine” and is made with a blend of European grapes and green tea from Yunnan in China.

To make it, the tea leaves are plucked and brewed into an infusion, which is then added to grape ferment, resulting in “an additional mouthfeel and finish, rounded off with dried tannins” to make a “complex and finely balanced” tipple, said Benchmark Drinks.

Minogue said it would appeal to “any Sparkling Rosé drinkers looking for a delightfully clean, textured product, minus the alcohol”.

Since launching in 2020, the star’s wines have won over shoppers in droves: the brand more than quadrupled its value, hitting £18.9m in sales over the year to 30 April 2022 – a 314.9% increase [NielsenIQ].

Minogue told PA she is "not a big drinker" and is "so so proud" to be launching an alcohol-free drink.

She said: "For those who don't partake in alcohol, the sober curious or for those who just fancy a non-alcoholic drink on occasions, this is just perfect.

"I've shared a champagne glass of the 0% sparkling rose with a group of friends and we had that same celebratory feeling as we would with alcoholic bubbly.

"It is definitely a festive drink, but I imagine it being part of so many occasions. Breakfast bubbly, after work wind down, family picnic, New Year's Eve celebration even.

"When you're on tour, the wind down after a show is really important. Your adrenaline is off the charts, you're tired and wired and have just shared an amazing experience on stage with your fellow performers and crew.

"I think this wine would be a perfect option for after show drinks."

The singer added that she was "really excited" for the product, which she describes as a "delight to drink", to be widely available throughout dry January.

What does sober curious mean? Those of us who are borderline alcoholics and wonder what it’s like to not be a mess on a night out?

Kylie Minogue Wines has sold over seven million bottles across 30 countries

2.3m bottles had been sold this time last year! Guess the launch in the US must have turned out pretty well?

Im surprised in a way by how successful the range has become for her, it seems to be growing in popularity the whole time and looks that it will be hugely successful for some time to come.

Kylie's wine should have a hugely successful Christmas this year now that it is well established on the market.

I see it in the supermarket all the time but I am an avid Barefoot wine drinker and stick to that (it's gorgeous and half the price). Am tempted to try it sometime but won't be forking out £14 for a bottle of wine its ludicrous, especially when everything else is so expensive.

^^ I’m obsessed with the 0% version - I’ve stocked up on the £5 Amazon deal

I've had one bottle of Kylie white wine and couldn't drink it all.

It was cack to be honest with you.

I'm interested to try this version, might have to take advantage of that!

I have bought many bottles of the rose and the prosecco and the merlot!

It’s really good - people that have tried it have said they wouldn’t know it was alcohol free if it was just served to them. Great summer drink.

I wish I liked wine so I could give some sort of opinion but its a drink I just never liked and I've tried a few. I think im correct in saying her wine range has been her most successful side project so far.
