Surprised that 5SOS' cheating actually got them to #1 this week. At least it'll bomb back out of the chart again next week.

I guess Dua’s bundle of 3 cassettes for £11, downloads for £3.99 and signed CDs for £4.99 don’t count then?!

That's not the point...the point was that Dua was selling constantly regardless of sales etc etc. and 5SOS were struggling. Adding 12k last day is fishy to me!!!

Dua is about to have three songs in the top 10, as disappointing as that result is... she's not exactly struggling for success, is she? Just about the most successful artist in the UK right now, singles smashing left right and centre. We'll cross our fingers for #1 next week!
Really not keen on this Partynextdoor & Rihanna song. I'm pleased it is not top 10. -_-

The Party Next Door and Rihanna song is quite a nice song.

I like the sample in the background of Blueberry Faygo but the song itself bores me.

So happy 5SOS got the #1 album this week - CALM is a great album. Dua will likely get to #1 at some point or with the re-release so not sure why her stans are raging.

Yesss Little Mix another Top 10.

They now have at least one Top 10 every year since 2011.

A decade on the charts; not easy for a girlgroup on their 9th year with no line up changes!

How did 5sos manage to sell that amount in one day? What data were they not reporting throughout the week? V suspicious but they will have a massive fall next week
KINGS OF ACTUAL SALES :yahoo:

Our offer to help fans outside the UK get a copy yesterday clearly paid off :smoke:

Dua should have stuck to her original release date instead she had to slash her downloads and CD to under a fiver to compete rather than have full price sales this week #SCREAMING

Dua and her 3 top 10 singles say hello :P

Biography

An effortless storyteller with a pure and unfiltered singing talent and songwriting ability, Mabel McVey has an instinctive gift of melody far beyond her twenty three years. Indeed Mabel has made quite the impression since bursting on to the scene in September 2015 with her release‘Know Me Better’. Quietly released onto Mabel’s personal SoundCloud, the single didn’t remain a secret for long, putting the wheels in motion for Mabel to become a fresh and exciting name amongst a brand new generation of r’n’b chanteuses. In the three since, Mabel’s growth (musically, emotionally, visually) has been extraordinary. Her formative material led to the surprise breakthrough of ‘Finders Keepers’ in 2017, which went platinum, spent 5 weeks in the top 10, and saw Mabel nominated for her first BRIT Award (Critics’ Choice). She has gone from playing nervous, intimate shows to touring with Harry Styles, selling out her own dates around the world (including London’s Brixton Academy) and has clocked up increasingly-surreal experiences en route(which includes playing Wembley Stadium in a Burberry catsuit and rainbow flag). Over two million single sales in the UK and over half a billion streams followed. Mabel has emerged as one of the UK’s most positive, candid lyrical voices, with songs that frequently explore everything from identity, the challenges of modern relationships, and working out who you are and what you want. - Spotify

They literally went from selling 600-1/2k a day to over 10k at least on the last day? Nahhhh. Something ain't right to me, personally. I'm not bothered about Dua having a #1 to her name, just that this seems... off to me.

I agree it's been a fun week though, seeing them both counteract one another and made what otherwise would have been a meh battle into one of the most exciting in a long time. Other labels should take note and try similar things. Make the dullest of weeks engaging and exciting!

Yaaaas Little Mix. A top 10 debut  Very happy with that. I hope they can remain stable and not completely bomb out the top 40 like Bounce Back did!
