Misha B Home Run deserved better what a BOP ! :wub: not sure why Monsters or Glow got that high bit random imo . The top 10 is pretty respectable I guess .

Glow and monsters did way better here than I thought so I'm happy with that. I was hallelujah would be a safe top 10 so I'm surprised it missed out.

We head into the top 10 now and up first is Misha B's 2nd single Do You Think Of Me. A song which many interpreted to be a love song, but also doubled up as a song which was really about her father. The song went on to become her first (and currently only) top 10 single as it peaked at number 9. I wasn't a fan of Misha B at all during X Factor and I think that played into my opinions on her debut single... however, this was a real "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING" the moment I heard it. Very pleased to see it go top 10, but it truly deserved top 5. But we S T A N.

Fab song. She deserved alot more success imo

Do You Think of Me? is my favourite X Factor related song. It's a beautiful, passionate, heart breaking song with so much emotion behind it. I love that for me it means one thing, but for Misha it's about a completely different thing. Glad it got top 10 here - I obviously would've liked it even higher but I can't complain. Still is THAT song :wub:

Do You Think Of Me is something I really like tbh.

 

I was like you Jonjo I couldn’t bare her when she was a contestant on the show and could see easily why she fell into the bottom so many times as she had zero like ability and the bully allegations didn’t help much either.

 

That aside she delivered a strong track with this.

At #9 is the most recent hit in the top 10. It's the 1st of 2 entries left for Ella Henderson and it is her collaboration with UK dance artist Jax Jones. This Is Real went on to be a big hit for the both of them upon Jax's album release. There's something quite nostalgic and retro but so very fresh about this song. It's a bop and it's the best thing Ella has released/featured on since her debut smash imo! I think it's a tad too high, maybe? But maybe it's just coz it's so recent for me and there are songs below that have held up better for me over the years.

Good to see this is real doing well, I like the song but it would be interesting to see how it would rate in 5 years time.

Do You Think Me is such a good song that deserved to better than it did despite being a top 10 hit . In fact Misha B deserved better all over one of the most talented people to ever be on X Factor imo and was done dirty on the show .

Cher Lloyd shot to fame on the 2010 series of X Factor and gave one of the most unique audition performances we had ever seen on the show. She auditioned with 'Turn My Swag On' and managed to turn heads (for better and for worse it seemed) and managed to finish 4th. This is a song that really should have done far, FAR better than it officially did. It's the 2nd single taken from Cher's (appropriately named) 2nd album 'Sorry I'm Late'. Her 2nd single from the album Sirens is one of the best things to come from any X Factor contestant, ever imo. (Yes I am including Little Mix lol) It's an anthem and the fact that it peaked at #41 is not only frustrating, but unjust too. Had a bigger name had this song, I really believe it would have gone top 10 and been one of those big #4 peak ballad kinda songs.

I Love Cher.

 

She really got the most annoying peak of all with this track :(

 

iirc too at the time the streaming to sales ratio wasn’t the way it is now so it probably was so close to making the top 40 so near yet so far.

 

Even if Cher herself had released this earlier it probably would’ve gone on to be a hit (well Like a 20s peak). But I fully agree that it would’ve been huge if someone else had released it.

 

Not Cher Lloyd breaking my predicted streak... all of two correct placings! Still, surprised this reached the top 10 honestly. But good for her!

Sirens :wub: So much love for that, and most of her second album too tbh (Human slays).

'Sirens' is absolutely GORGEOUS. It gives me chills everytime I listen to it and reminds me of her performance of 'Stay' on the show. She is capable of absolute BEAUTIES when she does ballads. I need a new era from her!
