I think this is different to a "normal" runway though, she chose a look of Michelle's that nobody else would have, most others went for the first few Drag Race looks you'd think of for Michelle (not that Jaida, Jan and Jackie didn't slay that). And that's what I love about Gigi, she won't take the easy literal option (see last week with the ice cream girl look instead of just doing something in an ice blue ad white gown or whatever), she always thinks about things. I guess it's just personal preference, I don't mind a super basic look like that when you work it like Gigi does.

 

Another example is when Valentina did the blacked out censorship boxes as Sex Madonna, that was bare minimum but the idea was genius. Not to sound like Aiden Zhane but the concept can mean so much more than an intricate gown and accessories, but I think you can only really use that in themes like Michelle or Madonna where you're copying a certain look. It's different than coming out in a bikini for an "actual" theme!

Meh, Jan should have won. Gigi was fantastic in the Rusical, but the runway was disappointing (don't really care that she went for the ~different option).

I think re Gigi's runway I got the impression that the Michelle look was a hastily-thought up excuse to do a look that was a modification of something she had already, rather than she had planned from the off she wanted to do an obscure music video blonde Michelle look from before she had her breast enlargement.

 

Her makeup also didn't give me anything but what she's done every week plus a mole.

Gigi came very well prepared for this so I don't doubt for a second this wasn't intentional. Look at her other shit. She can even whip out a fashionable garment on the spot in a day and we all have the receipts!

 

I'd even dare to say she has the IT factor more so than Violet or Aquaria judging from what we've seen so far. Absolute slayage.

it's not like jan's runway was mind blowing either !

I think Gigi's very talented but I'd like her a lot more if it didn't seem like they were handing her early wins. She'd be in just as good a position if she had two wins and a run of consecutive highs now instead of four wins in the first 7 episodes. I think Jaida deserved the ball win & Jan this one.

Jan was definitely the winner for me this episode. I also loved Crystal, Widow and Heidi, don't really know how Heidi was in the bottom 2 for me it would have been Brita and Jackie (although I love Jackie but she was boring imo) Heidi was very entertaining for me, I know her looks are somewhat to be desired but she's fab. Not sure how Gigi won, I think she did well but for me she was very middle of the pack this week. They might as well crown her now

The Jan love is so baffling to me, for a vocal queen I was surprised at how unpleasant I found her voice.l I thought Crystal really shone for me and whilst she’s clearly not a singer she made the whole part work.

I think Gigi is talented I just think Crystal or Jan deserved the win

Thank God Brita is FINALLY gone. Her Madonna looked sloppy af. Kind of like what you'd expect Dawn French to be like in a comedy sketch. :lol:

 

Gigi was fab yet again. I'm not getting the Jan love at the moment but she's not bad at least. Just a bit forgettable perhaps.

I thought Gigi was pretty equal to Jan in the challenge but the runway gave it to Jan for me, yes perhaps it wasn’t the most surprising outfit but it was made fably and embodies the original look. Gigi’s runway was NOT a winning outfit. It’s...a piece of fabric. It felt like a total cop out. Gigi was definitely promoted as a fashion queen but for me it’s the performances she’s excelled in, the last two runways haven’t been great. I do actually really like her lol but I worry it’s getting too obvious. *Crystal then wins*

 

Brita is vile, I do not appreciate her dated drag and everything but the iamspamspamamisink lipsyncs. I think the judges got the bottom three right, Heidi is a legend and up there with some of the best drag race personalities EVER but based on her performance I didn’t really mind which of her/Jackie was in the bottom.

 

Widow is doing kinda meh but I’m warming to her, she’s just a scream in the confessionals :lol:
