In 2012, the band went on hiatus, and Gomez focused work on her debut album as a solo artist. The pop and dance influenced Stars Dance (2013) became her first number-one album on the Billboard 200, and included "Come & Get It", which became her first top-ten entry on the US Billboard Hot 100. To finish out her contract with Hollywood Records, she released the compilation album For You (2014). It included the single "The Heart Wants What It Wants", which became her second top-ten entry. After signing with Interscope Records in late 2014, she released her second studio album, Revival (2015). The album was well-received by music critics, who praised the album's production and lyrical content. The first three singles, "Good for You" with ASAP Rocky, "Same Old Love", and "Hands to Myself", all became top-ten entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and reached number one on the Mainstream Top 40 chart. April 10, 20205 yr from 0 to 10, this is a solid -2 :D worst song ever... well, I actually don't even consider a "song", it's someone just reading a list of instructions, in the most possible boring way, if I go and read the IKEA catalog, does it make it a song? :D :D
April 10, 20205 yr "Blinding Lights" still sounds great. I thought I wouldn't like any other song by The Weeknd that wasn't "Can't Feel My Face", but he's proven me a liar.
April 10, 20205 yr Poor Niall Horan. His No Judgment has climbed 1 place to this week's #41. I was more gutted about After Hours being #41 last week, deserved another play!
April 10, 20205 yr I'm liking 'Toosie Slide' far more than any of Drake's Scorpion singles, but then I really didn't like any of those so that's not saying much! Definitely much happier to see 'Blinding Lights' at #1 instead.
April 10, 20205 yr As if we needed further proof that Drake can basically record his own farts and that'll be an instant top 3 hit.
April 10, 20205 yr BLINDING LIGHTS STILL AT #1 *.*. One of the best #1s of all time
April 10, 20205 yr yes Weeknd...please stay at top of charts as long as you prevent that Drake song!!!
April 10, 20205 yr I'm not a fan of Blinding Lights but thank you The Weeknd for preventing Drake to get another UK number 1.
April 10, 20205 yr I'm liking 'Toosie Slide' far more than any of Drake's Scorpion singles, but then I really didn't like any of those so that's not saying much! Definitely much happier to see 'Blinding Lights' at #1 instead. Agree with all of this! Also when was the last time the 'chart' portion of the chart show thread ran to this many pages? I know the Ellie Goulding River #1 thread went on to about 39 or so, but the charts finished at about p22 in that one with the rest of it general malaise (about Mariah missing out ofc)
April 10, 20205 yr Does anyone have Fine Lines chart run?? ETA- never mind...found it 17 weeks in the top 10 Edited April 10, 20205 yr by TinyDancer
