Michael Ball expanded his lead over The Weeknd in today's mids, I think he's pretty much locked in for #1 now. YNWA only needs another 20k sales in 3 days to match what The Weeknd did last week (which it should do easily as it did 10k yesterday alone), and The Weeknd himself is significantly down from this stage last week in the mids (I think there's more data missing this week but even so his sales are clearly going down again now).

 

These kind of huge charity singles often have sales boosts throughout the week so I'd expect a late surge for it tomorrow/Thursday, not that it'll even need one but it could push its sales close to/over 100k if it does happen.

It's gonna happen on Thursday when BBC show their "Big Night In" programme which will also coincide with clap for our carers. The boost might even spill over a bit to Friday as well but I imagine the programme is going to get very high ratings on Thursday night.

that band is like a soap opera, Ali Campbell left like 10 years ago after fighting with some band members and the management, was replaced by his brother as lead singer, then they released a country album so Ali Campbell got pissed off and wanted to have the UB40 name cos he said they were ruining the band's legacy, Astro joined him and they were also performing as UB40 I think, but not sure how it all ended...

Aren't "UB40 featuring Ali Campbell & Astro" technically a separate entity to UB40 due to who owns the name? I think I remember reading something like that.

 

They do both have separate Spotify pages.

I think both can use the name but they have to use the ‘featuring x and x’ members, like Ali and Astro have done.

Robin and Ali have both been been declared bankrupt.
