Are there any new releases in the next few weeks that could dethrone Dua? The only one I can see is Bon Jovi on 15 May.

Nothing this week from what I can see. 8th May has Hayley Williams and The D-Day Darlings - though it's hard to say what they'll sell.

 

Bon Jovi's album has been pushed back, so that looks to be a clear week.

 

The 1975 are releasing on 22nd May - that will almost certainly go to #1.

 

Now The Killers have pushed back, 29th May looks clear - with the possibility of All Time Low as their physicals release that week.

And then when everyone starts releasing albums again, there'll be more competition amongst new releases so some albums are going to miss out on the top spot when they would probably have got there otherwise. I’m so pleased Universal’s store recordstore.co.uk has tried to keep physicals selling with their deals, £9.99 vinyl sale and discount codes

It definitely will given its huge sales boost - 'goosebumps' won't because of its age however.

Sales seems to be bigger than last week’s Monday update...at least for Dua both album and Physical!!!

The Official Charts Midweek Sales Flash is in, and a tight battle is developing at the top of the singles chart.

 

Times Like These, a BBC Radio 1 coordinated charity cover of the Foo Fighters' 2003 hit, shot straight to No.5 in last week's chart, just hours after its release, and jumps to No.1 in the midweeks with sales of 26,957. The song is credited to the Live Lounge Allstars, a coalition of 23 of the biggest names in music including Dua Lipa, Chris Martin and AJ Tracey.

 

The Weeknd's former No.1 Blinding Lights is a very close No.2, just over 200 sales behind on 26,723, while the current chart-topper, Michael Ball & Captain Tom Moore's version of You'll Never Walk Alone (14,483 sales), drops to No.6.

 

The 1975 are the highest new entry at No.9 with If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know), which has moved 13,310 units, while there are two other new entries in the Top 20: Houdini (11,750 sales) by KSI ft. Swarmz & Tion Wayne at No.12 and The Scotts (11,107 sales) by Travis Scott & Kid Cudi at No.14.

 

Dua Lipa's acclaimed Future Nostalgia rebounds 3-1 in the albums chart on sales of 4,354 to lead Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes' What Kinda Music (3,107 sales), which is new at No.2. Gerry Cinnamon's The Bonny (2,752 sales) dips 1-4 and Trivium are straight in at No.5 with What The Dead Men Say (2,379 sales).

If Elton John diamonds holds up it could get a new peak or match its existing peak of number 5 this week, im hoping Niall Horan can get back in the top 75 by the end of the week, really surprised Becky Hill and Tiesto are falling instead of climbing and was hoping for far higher for the Foo Fighters original of times like these, good to see Regard and Raye in the chart, really hoping this will at least go top 40 eventually.

How about no? It’s been in the top 10 too long now and even if she overtakes Mariah for most weeks in the top 10, Mariah will overtake again as AIWFCIY goes top 10 every year

Here's hoping that:

- The 1975 get their first top 10 hit.

- Kings And Queens finally enters the top 40.

- The first Capaldi-free top 40 in yonks.
