I thought we were talking about Dua the biggest female artist who’s struggling to pass 10k with the album of the year apparently - even with the price slashed yet again to £4.99 on iTunes.

I don't really get why you're so keen on trying to downplay Dua's success. I know there's the other extreme in this thread too but her sales are about as good as she can expect for a month-old album, with most shops shut and supermarkets not focusing on entertainment stock during a pandemic. She's doing amazingly well! That said, let's not pretend she's holding up the industry alone either - let's keep perspective guys x
April 27, 20205 yr Is there a particular reason this 1975 song is doing so well? Their singles don't usually challenge for Top 10 debuts and this one sounds like a bog standard 1975 song to my ears.
April 27, 20205 yr Maybe people are just relieved they released a song with a pulse again after their last couple? (I've not heard it yet but I've read that it's another very 80s-y song which have been doing pretty well in the charts this year so it probably fits in quite nicely)

April 27, 20205 yr As Bre said it's something decent against from them after 2/3 non events of singles. Understandable that they've released it as the big pre album single!
