Hi and welcome to I think my 1st ever edition of the single cover puzzle (I've done albums before but I don't think singles)! I forgot I was hosting this week so soz for the short delay but hope y'all enjoy (everyone enters last day anyway). x

 

Here are segments of 40 different singles covers (a lil clue, a lot of the songs are recent-ish). All you have to do is name the artist and the single. You get 1 point for correct artist and 1 point for correct single, so it's worth answering even if you just know the artist. Even if you don't know an answer, try to guess and you always have a chance of picking up some more points. (thx u prev hosts for making clear rules for me to copy and paste x). Enjoy!

 

Bonus: there is of course an opportunity for bonus points

- First of all, there is a theme - if you can tell me what the theme is, you get an extra 15 points.

 

All in all you can get up to 100 points: (scoring:)

- 1pt for getting the correct artist for each cover (up to 40pts)

- 1pt for getting the correct song for each cover (up to 40pts)

- 20pts for getting the theme

 

When you PM me your answers it's probably easiest to number them from left to right and then down each row (so the first row is 1-5, next row is 6-10 etc.)

 

Deadline: Saturday 2nd May 11:59 PM though I will very likely accept answers up until I've opened the results topic the next day.

Will give this a go at some point this week, there's a handful I recognise but will need to think about a few more of them. This would have been a lot easier in the days of physical singles - you don't really get to see single covers as much these days, especially if you're just listening to songs on spotify.

The theme is baffling me. There’s something I’ve noticed yet I don’t know if it’s what I’ve noticed or not :lol:

Is the theme the kind of obvious one? Or are we looking for something more specific?

I recognise... a few on first glance. Hopefully I'll get a few more but I feel like most of them aren't my taste in music!

I've got about half of them. Thought I had the theme nailed but been thrown off course by one of my answers!

I'll give it a go but most likely to be bottom in this.

Yeah I think the favourite songs question is a bit unfair tbh but I'll give it a go!

I'll scrap the favourite songs bit then and just make the theme a 20pt bonus then :kink:

Wow this is a lot harder than the albums one... will have a crack at it. Pretty confident I've worked out the theme though.

I’m baffled at the theme! I noticed something about the tracks but I think the theme is on another lines to what I said and I’ll kick myself when I see it :lol:

Just submitted mine. Got less than half. I know I'm gonna kick myself with some of them though...

I've sent in my vote - that was incredibly difficult though! I didn't even bother to guess over half of them. :lol: I hope I'm on the money with the theme though. :kink:
