It allows some more tracks into consideration! Perhaps most notably First Day of My Life by Melanie C, which was a HUGE hit across Europe but never released in the UK, bafflingly! Also her recent track Who I Am can be entered now.

Who I Am is my choice now then. It's the most recent and people know about it probably more than Think About It. And it definitely is at least a good song :angel: Also, why not Baby Please Don't Stop?

 

Please, let's not inflict Think About It any longer on the general public. Whatever they must have done to you, I'm sure they don't deserve such pain :coffee:

I’m a fan of Who I Am or Anymore!

The constant rule changes are really annoying can we not just stick to the ones provided. Every time it benefits another forum but not the Spice one 😒

I’ve just seen a couple of forums would have only had one song so I think it’s fair tbh..

This theme has proven itself to be a bit of a mess. None of us realised in the first place that a couple of artists would only have one song, so I'm not blaming anyone. I will say that previous themes (and indeed, forthcoming ones) will be more ideal for some forums and not for others. Maybe this should have been the round where Dua and Zara needed to try and weather the storm, rather than have the goalposts moved to enable them to have better choices. Spice Girls forum is still left with not-ideal-in-terms-of-BuzzJack song choices, i.e. a lot of Melanie C songs that barely anyone gives a chance.

 

Perhaps Anymore or Who I Am being more recent releases is helpful, but for the most part it's going to be Spice fans who've heard them and like them. I know full well there'll be many members who dismiss any Melanie C song because they have a preconceived idea of her.

 

I don't think there's a really clear choice for us to go with. Like Mr.X says, Baby Please Don't Stop is another possibility, but that didn't seem to attract much BuzzJack attention outside of the Spice fans either.

 

Maybe we should just go with Who I Am and hope for the best.

Right ok so a rule revision means any single released that charted below the top 75 or missed the chart can now be included, or any album track that charted below #75.

What are people's thoughts? I don't any stand a chance tbh unless people take the time to listen to them :lol:

So my top choices would be

 

- Think about it

- Baby please don't stop

 

 

My other choices would be

- Anymore

- Who I am

- Too many teardrops (was this officially a single it's listed as so on wikipedia)

- For once in my life

 

However it took me a few listens to appreciate these while TAI and BPDS were instant love on first listen, I'm thinking we need something catchy instantly for those who take the time to listen to the playlist.

'Who I Am' is my favourite of the options we now have. Wouldn't mind 'Anymore' either.

 

Both have less of Melanie's high-pitched vocals that seem to polarise listeners.

 

I would say that BPDS has slightly less punch than those two.

It's her most successful song in a long time, it is a good song and it was well received in general outside of the fanbase. It makes sense to me.

 

Baby Please Don't Stop would have been the second choice for me.

I see First day of my life can also be included apparently. So I guess that means Rock me and Understand potentially too

'Who I Am' is even better than 'Think About It' for me so I'd be happy with that choice! Could see it having a slightly wider reach too.

 

I really do think you guys underestimate how Spice Girls are doing or how people approach the competition. SG have one of the biggest fanbases on Buzzjack and most members I've seen have been listening to the full playlist before making their choice.
