May 3, 20205 yr Totally here for this although I try not to get too excited for Kylie collabs as we have been left disappointed a few times - anyone remember people that heard a preview of the Sigala track claiming it to be the anthem of the summer :kink: Really hope they pull something amazing together though.

Ya I'm not getting my hopes up on this as most of her recent collabs have left me very disappointed.
May 3, 20205 yr New Kylie music remains welcomed, but much of her collaboration work in later years has not raised her profile and the results are varied, but heavily leaning on disappointing.

October 21, 20204 yr Author I honestly can't put my finger on what this will sound like and that's really quite exciting! Mirwais says in the interview that it's not going to be a dance record - "Who wants a dance record? There are no clubs any more" - so guess it could be something more moody and atmospheric. I'm very familiar with his work with Madonna but I think even that can't be used as a guide to what the Kylie song will sound like.

Let's just say I'm not harassed by a lot of people either, and I find it rather flattering that people still care about my music after so long. But it comes back very emphatically. "When is this coming out?" ". The only answer I can give is that it should be released in the fall of 2022. I don’t like to explain my job but for once I’ll do it. You see, in a world that swears by immediacy and rankings, I don't mind waiting a little longer to find a perfect launch window. Why so long to release a record? There are several reasons for this: First of all, "THERETROFUTURE" is not like any other record for me. He is special for deep personal reasons. Second, before releasing the album which is almost finished and mastered, I will first publish a novel at the end of August 2022. I have carried this story with me for 20 years and the manuscript is finally ready to be released to the public. Third, I wish as an artist to give myself the freedom to do what I want and to decide when a work should be published or not. Nowadays, no one cares to listen to one more record. But not me, especially when it's mine)! So I take the time I need to complete it. I could be criticized for announcing the release of the album on a regular basis, but when it is released you will understand that this is part of the overall concept of the record, which is digital forgery. Finally, I do not see why a painter or a writer would have the right to devote sometimes 20 years of his life to a painting or a novel and not me? How would that be different? I don't care if other artists create works in 2 hours and release them the next day and be number 1 on the charts 3 days later. I don't feel concerned. I happened to create works like my first solo album of 1990 in less than a month, mixing included. . "THERETROFUTURE" is a work that is not included in a career map. Whatever happens this record will stand apart in my discography.
