Great news from Australia….assuming behind Taylor and Arctic Monkeys?

If so fingers crossed for good sales.

I hadn't even given any thought to her possibly reaching a new peak in Australia. Well done Kylie!

Amazing result for Australia - and I know it’s very :gino: but if she hadn’t gone against 2 of the biggest releases this year she would have been #1.

So new peaks in Australia, UK and Germany - justice for IP :cheer:

I’m trying to think of other examples of an underperforming album doing so well on an anniversary re-release? I know we regularly get big albums return to the charts as a result (George Michael’s ‘Older’ being a recent example) but I can’t think of anything like IP?

Didn't realise just how successful 'Impossible Princess' was in Australia! Returned to the Top 10 (Top 5 even) due to the tour:

I can think of 'Unknown Pleasures' by Joy Division which only reached #71 originally yet featured on many 'best album of all time' lists and then reached #5 following a re-release in 2019.

One of the only places it was actually a success - not sure why the Australian’s took to it so well when everywhere else shunned it but I’m glad at least somewhere did!

I assume since it was released earlier there, it meant it gave Kylie opportunity to actually properly promote an album in the release week for the first time since her debut in Australia. Otherwise she'd usually be busy in the UK and mainland Europe.

It did well because it suited the market more and then the Intimate and Live tour continued it's success.

Does that mean it's now more or less doubled its Aus sales total?

Haha not quite, it has sold sound 170,000 already down under.

Brilliant aussie result that will be new peaks in aussie and the uk. I hope it can even make the top 100 here in Ireland.
Reminder that the UK position cannot be posted here until officially revealed by the OCC/BBC Radio 1 this afternoon! Thanks hens
