I think most have been counted? The fact it shifted 1k this week and lots of people received picture discs that they were not expecting until the end of November indicates they might have received a batch earlier than expected and sent them out?

It really is hard to tell but those extra 1000 plus sales will also include violet and marble bundles.

It’s still on sale on her store with the disclaimer re the second run which means there should be a second batch still waiting to be produced….how many, who knows?

My favourite Kylie corner on the internet is here - no drama, arguments etc.,

It still takes me a back seeing this album with a Top 5 peak, like when reading its chart run or seeing its updated peak on the Wikipedia discography page. It just really feels like its chart performance now reflects the status this album has in Kylie's back catalogue and also opens up the possibility of other albums achieving the same. I know that they're not as fondly looked upon as 'Impossible Princess' is, but imagine 'Let's Get to It' or 'Body Language' improving upon their peaks?
Body language went top 10 so I'd more for seeing let's get to it getting there plus I also prefer it as album to body language.

The Impossible Princess sales total is precisely 72,800!

Previous totals:

10/08/19 - 64,002

12/10/20 - 64,483 (the date is when the information was shared

21/10/22 - 65,286

28/10/22 - 71,670

We need BMG to contact BPI about its much overdue certification...

It HAS a certification, but something got messed up in the BPI database between updates, probably putting together KM'98's sales with KM'94 and counting the various re-issues of IP as their own. It needs to be corrected.

Wow that was my exact estimate for it! Granted it was just from working out the average between the 2019 and 2020 updates and it was selling that little it wasn’t going to vary week from week.

Oh that's really annoying, and therefore something BPI has not noticed in over 9 years. I wonder if fans have tried contacting them about it? If yes, they've evidently been ignored up to now!

I looked at the updates history of her Discography Wikipedia pages, and the info of it being silver certified was removed from there in 2014, literally citing BPI not listing the album on its site as being a reason to remove that information. And years later it still shows as being an uncertified album. So I just assumed it had never been certified (I guess I must have overlooked or misunderstood if previous posts mentioned that the album was in fact certified).

:cheeseblock: King of estimates!

Surely this must have been pointed out to them at some point? They do respond to people pointing out mistakes in their database, it’s curious they’ve still not corrected this mistake.

On another point, it’s a shame we’ll never really know the true sales of Let’s Get to It. That 70k is a very rough estimate due to it not appearing on a year end chart. Could easily be lower or higher than that. Impossible Princess is definitely the more successful album regardless, but it would be nice to know if it’s outsold Let’s Get to It.

Someone mail them then.

Thanks for the sales update…..it’s sad IP is such a low seller despite the latest sales injection.
IP does deserve more but least this recent vinyl has helped bump it a bit, i would love the album to make Gold but looks like it will never happen as IP does not deserve the title of her lowest selling studio album.

Has it sold less than let’s get to it? How much has that sold? Just curious to know. IP should have done a lot better.

Thanks for the update, glad it’s passed 70k - still nowhere near where it deserves to be but a decent total for an underperforming album.

Hopefully it will add a few trickle sales as there is still vinyl to be had at Amazon, HMV and on her website - BMG usually do a 2-3 day Black Friday sale each year across various retailers as well as on the artists official site so we could see a price reduction to clear any surplus stock.

Yes, hopefully the black friday deals will get her even some casual sales and move through on some of the stock that is available.
75k is feasible this year depending on how many outstanding picture discs are to be despatched alongside the remaining Orange/ Marble versions.
Yeah, I hope we can get to 75k soon-ish. Beyond that will probably be slug-ish again, but at least it being in stores means trickle sales will improve a bit.
Ya i think 75 k is completely out of this world soon ish, but after that sales will next to nothing unless some huge surprise comes along,
