Impossible Princess hasn't aged much at all.

There remains a modern sound to it.

None of the Impossible Princess material gets exposed to the wider public to attract actual sales or streams for the album

This is something other Kylie albums benefit from.

23 years old  Nice to see Kylie showing the album a little bit of love on Twitter.

I always get the feeling she is so proud of IP but at the same time doesn’t refer back to it often due to its lack of commercial success.

I agree. Particularly in interviews from 2000/2001, Kylie would refer to the era as a misstep but you could tell she learned a lot from the experience and I think the support fans have shown for the album in following years has encouraged her to honest with how proud she is of the album.

IP will forever be a watershed moment in my Kylie fandom. I remember discovering it about a year or two after Fever dominated globally, and introduced me to Kylie Ann Minogue.

It was around the launch of the Body Language era. I was working at a music store at the time, and ordered a copy of IP to check out on my lunch break. As soon as "Too Far" started playing, I...well, my everything was snatched and scalped. :w00t:

I could not believe the sexy, stylish lady who did fresh, cool, and modern dance-pop like my fave "In Your Eyes", went experimental and explored so far outside of catchy pop hooks and dance beats. The introspective, restless lyrics. The plethora of styles and sounds. IP was my turning point from "Damn IYE is fierce" to "WHO IS KYLIE I need to consume every song she's ever done aaahhhh!!"

It has a permanent residence in my Top 5 Kylie albums, if not Top 3.

Now that DISCO blew my wig and lashes off, though, my Top 3 is spinning around and far from settled yet :mario:

With the vinyl selling so well for Disco, even into its second week of sales are holding up well, it just reminds me how successful i think a multi version vinyl release of impossible princess would sell so well, i think they could easily hit 10k combined if released, on a quiet week of the year even 6 or 7k in sales would get IP a brand new peak, if the vinyl copied the way disco was done i think this could easily be achieved.
^^ I’m SO ready (as we all are!) for as many vinyl versions of IP they want to produce. They could make it a really spectacular release should they ever get around to it
I agree, they really could make it spectacular and i think it would be very successful for them and really turn the fortunes around of IP around, imagine it getting a brand new peak over 20 years after its release.

I’d definitely buy a vinyl of this one, I still think it’s by far her best album.
With no rumours of its vinyl release it obviously is not on the cards for now.

In Kylie dream world if the vinyl was released this week for Impossible Princess it would be Number 1.

This is literally the only thing I really want! They could make the vinyl release an absolute masterpiece if they put some thought into it - I’m sure it will happen eventually, IP deserves its time to shine and be given a proper vinyl release
