June 6, 20232 yr There are so many songs left over from X, it has to be her album with the most material not used, nothing lost nothing gained is ok but im not sure if the vocals and the beat fully match throughout the song. I can see why they decided to leave it off, decent enough b side if used back in the day.
April 17, 20241 yr When I seen the X thread bumped my first thought was its coming on vinyl. No they are too focused on pushing out multiple variations of BL  X and the artwork will look incredible on vinyl!
April 17, 20241 yr I am looking to forward to X on vinyl whenever it does happen as the body language release didn't excite me at all, it was more a formality purchase rather than a want one.
June 5, 20241 yr ^^ Honestly this. Really odd that they are even bothering rolling these out in card sleeves - I can’t imagine there is a big demand for 20+ year old Kylie albums on CD? Nice they are doing it but like you say get on with the vinyl already
June 5, 20241 yr Parlophone trolling hard considering we want these on vinyl :drama: Only 3 and a half years to wait!
June 5, 20241 yr I have to say i hate card sleeves as once they are open they are hard to keep in perfect condition. Its like back in the day of cassette singles i hated the ones that didnt come in the hard plastic case. Edited June 5, 20241 yr by Padamic_Tension
June 6, 20241 yr Odd choice but I'm assuming it's just an attempt to clear out stock. At least in regards to the packaging, these are brand new pressings, so in that sense it's adding to stock rather than helping to clear out old stock. Not sure about the disc within them though, whether they're old discs repackaged or if they're newly pressed too. So card sleeve like the tension and disco standard ones? I don't own a copy myself to be sure, but I think the sleeves of Body Language/Aphrodite/X might be shorter in length than Disco/Tension (more of a square, than a rectangle). Essentially they're like miniature vinyl with gatefold. Only 3 and a half years to wait! It can be annoying when labels only want to release something if there's an anniversary attached to it. I have to wonder whether the 20th Anniversary of Body Language having passed really made all that much difference to driving sales, or if it could have sold just as much if they'd randomly put it out when it was 17 years old or whatever
June 6, 20241 yr Hopefully I’ll happen across one in HMV. I’m not bothered about buying them, already have several X and Aphrodite CD plus have the Parlo Albums CD boxset - which was so nicely made. As others have said, I just want Aphrodite and X on vinyl!
June 7, 20241 yr Author ^^ Honestly this. Really odd that they are even bothering rolling these out in card sleeves - I can’t imagine there is a big demand for 20+ year old Kylie albums on CD? Nice they are doing it but like you say get on with the vinyl already  I think it’s nice to have Kylie albums more readily available for people to seek out whenever Kylie promotes somewhere. Of course, it’s the vinyl us hardcore fans are desperately waiting for! I agree with Jay that the anniversary aspect probably doesn’t drive that many sales whatsoever, although a part of me does find it satisfying that they tie in with the anniversaries.
June 7, 20241 yr I agree about the anniversaries as the releases are largely fan purchases so whether its 11 or 20 years old is irrelevant, i just think from a vinyl point of view all Kylies albums should be widely available on vinyl and ideally at fairly decent prices to pick up the casual sales.
November 5, 2024Nov 5 17 years of ‘Two Hearts’ - not my favourite Kylie lead single by any means (but I really like it just wouldn’t have been my choice to kick off ‘X’) but it snatched a Top 5 and kicked off a successful era. November 5, 2024Nov 5 Not a fave of my own either as a single but would have been a great album track, X reminds so much of Kylies strength as it was her comeback after her shocking illness, im sure many parts of that era resonate strongly with her, X like i often say was an album when it was good it was brilliant and in other parts it just didnt work, from a sound point of view its probably her least consistent as it has such a mixture and to the frustration of many some far better songs were left off the album.
November 5, 2024Nov 5 I never listen to this song, except maybe like once every 18 months or something.
