#04. Why Try

 

'Why Try' is my favourite album track here! It's such a beauty. The chorus EXPLODES and the "angels and devils" refrain is incredible. WE HAVE TO STAN WE HAVE NO CHOICE :wub:

didnt Love Me Harder do better during the cherrypicking period after the Album was released? At least that was what I remembered

Trying to cast my mind back and all I can remember was 'Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart' getting heavily cherry-picked due to Harry Styles' involvement :lol:

 

'Why Try' :wub: this is a strong album for ballads!

I still don't understand why Ari said 'Why Try' is one of her most boring songs. I love it.

This has become one of my favourite tracks on the album. It's not a single, but just a DAMN GOOD album track. The 'na-na-na-na-na-na-na' bit is ridiculously infectious.

Why Try is a lovely track! Perhaps midtable on the album for me? The soaring chorus is the best bit :wub:

'Why Try' is beautiful. But I think she does this kind of thing better, on this album! Beautiful song though <3

I hate that the chorus of this is just reminding me of the awful 'So There' by Alexa Goddard :ph34r:

 

(it is a much, much better song than that tho xx particularly liked the middle 8 ~)

Break Free is still so fun. I really dislike a lot of Zedd's songs but not this one. The video remains one of her best for me too.

'Break Free' is one of her most overrated songs :'( very 6/10 for me *hides*

AF Idol has really got me back into 'Break Free' again! :music:

This POPPED OFF when I saw her live in September! An ALMIGHTY BANGER! It's such an odd song in the sense that it SHOULD have aged terribly due to how generic it feels, but I think it's having the opposite effect on me!

Break Free remains my favourite single on the album and song overall :wub: We love a classic! This deserved a top 10 peak and iirc it would've got there if it wasn't for those pesky chart rules about instant grass at the time?

Best Mistake is so underrated. Love Sean's verse on this too.
