I literally just had this discussion with a few others off here!

*If* I take out ASIB, it's her best song since 'Marry The Night' for me. But with ASIB included, there's a handful on that soundtrack that outdo it for me.

In terms of her studio albums, it's her best since the BTW era though

I think I'd have to go as far back as the 'Born This Way' era to answer this? I'm that in love with it :snif:

I'll say since 'The Edge Of Glory'!

Some of the ASIB songs have too much of an effect on me to say this beats them  It's better than anything off Joanne and ARTPOP for me though I think (unless that's just recency talking).

Edge Of Glory was the last time I was really like wowed instantly by a Gaga song for a Gaga solo album.

With A Star Is Born idk where I’d compare them too as I first heard the songs (aside from Shallow) when I actually seen the film. I wasn’t as in love with Shallow on day one than I was with this though. I’ll Never Love Again was the ASIB track I’ll compare this too as that was the one i stanned hard initially when I first heard the tracks associated from that era.

I think Rain On Me is really universal though. It’s pop but not necessarily generic but it isn’t too different sounding that it’s alienating and the song and video bring out the best of each of one another

(Also ik that’s not what the topic states but I think it’s my favourite Ariana related release since breathin).

In terms of singles, G.U.Y for me but I think they’re about tied atm. Going past that Marry The Night for sure

In terms of singles (not including ASIB), definitely 'The Edge Of Glory'.

In terms of albums... when ARTPOP gifted us 'Gypsy'.

Always Remember Us This Way!

But if we indeed exclude ASIB, I find Million Reasons so breathtaking that I prefer it to this one. Especially the Royal Variety performance means everything to me!!!

Taking away ASIB too (because I love Shallow and I'll Never Love Again too much to compare them to a song that's a few days old), I'd say Gypsy but potentially even the BTW era.

definitely her best since at least Applause, potentially since Born This Way too but I’ll see how it ages first.

it’ll be her first song to make my personal chart top five since Applause anyhow.
