May 24, 20205 yr Author The remaining 20 albums I will have to reveal tomorrow as this has taken too long and my iPad is about to die.
May 24, 20205 yr 18/20 so far! Ah the smiley face was really bugging me but don't think I have actually seen that album cover before!
May 24, 20205 yr Thanks for this so far Wardy! The second half was less disastrous for me iirc :kink:
May 24, 20205 yr Ahh the C&S one seems pretty obvious in retrospect. But only 2 people got it so I am hardly kicking myself xx
May 25, 20205 yr ohhh of course it was Chase & Status, I knew it had to be some dance act should have known this one
May 25, 20205 yr Surprised how many people got Dirty Vegas! I knew it immediately but thought it wouldn't be obvious to many since 'Days Go By' was a pretty minor UK charter. The first 4 were a great start for me... after that, much less so. I thought The Feeling looked like a Christmas album, possibly from the '80s or so. Not sure I've seen the Beastie Boys GH cover before. I... still mix up the 'K' bands to the extent that I saw the 2006 date and the songs you named from Kasabian's album and my first thought was "oh, it must be the album before 'Ruby'" I, looking at their singles, could not have named a pre-'Fire' song of theirs with a gun to my head... despite there being numerous top 10 hits, ouch. I started thinking Jay-Z & Linkin Park was Fort Minor's album, or Flobots (not the only one to think that!), and was stumped for a moment, but luckily thought of it by proximity! Wow at it having so few guesses :o Oh wow that was Jimi Hendrix?! I thought it looked like him/the 'Electric Ladyland' cover, but I looked through his albums on Spotify and didn't find it... in some cases I thought of googling for GHs that might not be on Spotify, but not this time. So I just wrote 'an extended version of Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland'; lucky I did. I... have no idea what Black Lace is? Oh, the name 'Agadoo' looks familiar... I think I've heard of it reading the comments on Popular (the UK #1s blog) or something, long ago. I like the idea of Fast Food Rockers having a GH :') I also don't know what Athlete is... despite a #4 hit in 2005? There are so many mid-'00s UK bands. I thought the Röyksopp red sky image looked very familiar but... not especially. I'm surprised they were already big enough in 2002 to have had a top 10 album then! The Prodigy is unmistakable, love that cover. Oh ouch Chase & Status is something I should've known! Ok, maybe not considering how few people got it  I kept thinking it was something like Blur which was way off. I will note that my answer was 'a graffiti'd poster for Ed Sheeran - ÷' :P
May 25, 20205 yr The only one I'm kicking myself about so far is MCR, which like Riser, gave me Green Day vibes. 'Helena' featured on one of the Singstar games so I definitely think I've seen the cover on there in the past. The first 4 were a great start for me... after that, much less so. I feel this. I only put eight answers down in total, and three of them came from that first row.
May 25, 20205 yr 18/20 so far! Ah the smiley face was really bugging me but don't think I have actually seen that album cover before! Same! I think I might have got Chase & Status if I'd thought long and hard enough but I'm happy enough with 18/20 so far. I don't think I'll quite score 18/20 in the second half though.
May 25, 20205 yr I'm pretty sure I got The Feeling one right Wardy! I've seen the Il Divo cover before so that's why I thought it was familiar but would never have gotten it! And I've got no idea how I recognised Enya from mouth alone as I'd never seen that cover before this contest.
May 25, 20205 yr Author I'm pretty sure I got The Feeling one right Wardy! Quite right you did, I mistakenly replaced your answer for vibe, it has been corrected now.
May 25, 20205 yr I *might* have got the Chase & Status one if it wasn't so tightly zoomed in, I was mentally expecting a blue cover not a red one.
May 25, 20205 yr I *might* have got the Chase & Status one if it wasn't so tightly zoomed in, I was mentally expecting a blue cover not a red one. Yes this was exactly the same issue that I had!
