The themes have really made this AF Idol exciting and unpredictable so I hope they stay when the next one comes around.

My vote;

Madonna - 4 Minutes (feat. Justin Timberlake & Timberland)

I'm glad Dannii is through, I was worried about that one! Poor Britney but any eliminations were bound to be harsh. I do prefer the 'Till The World Ends' remix but I don't expect it would've done much better, if at all.

Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland - 4 Minutes please :wub:

PS to join a dead discussion in the previous thread, I had wondered what the difference between the 'Never Be The Same Again' versions was, and I sampled the album version and it mainly sounded like the production was quieter to me (like the bass sounds heavier in the single mix I think [which sounds better to me that way, but maybe because I'm used to it]). Odd that the video used the album version.

'4 Minutes' is funny to me because I remember I was used to hearing it on the radio who played the edit, and when I first downloaded it and hit play, I was so confused by the intro and questioned if I'd gotten the wrong thing :lol: Also see Coldplay's 'Violet Hill' with the long ambient intro that's barely audible if you listen on low volume. But the '4 Minutes' album version is what I've been used to ever since and the intro is firmly part of the song to me. In fact, the edit sounds more 'wrong' to me because its intro feels out of time as the horns come in on 3.5 beats rather than 4. It's kind of weird that they put the edit on 'Celebration' too given the album, single and video had the full version. Probably makes sense now for streaming-friendliness to have the recognisable hook right up front though (indeed the edit has 114m Spotify plays while the album version has 19m), and for the same reason I'd have probably picked the edit for the playlist if I was trying to guess what other people would like :P

Also I think 'Frozen' (6:07) is the longest song, but only slightly ahead of Rihanna's 'Cold Case Love' (6:05)!

Personally I wouldn’t describe Britney and Madonna’s lack of reliance on collaborations as flaws, seems more like a strength to me but who cares what I think?
