Mostly just glad that I qualified so I can keep up my long streak. Getting 2 medal positions was nice to see as well. June 27, 20205 yr Congrats John! Not a bad winner, I guess, it grew on me on second listen and has an iconically terrible music video. What a photo finish that was! Poor Faded tho D: Did I win that tiebreak and miss the bottom 5? (Edit: lol nope) I guess I can't say I'm too surprised , like I said, I'm more just relieved to be in the final, I found picking an entry quite tough as I've been quite into listening to older music cos of my albums project, but I am glad I sent this one and it was a pleasing curveball of a qualifier and I'm pleased some made a good discovery out of it. Very pleased for Ojnoj and Rolloland in the top 10, Suedeonia so close too! Danaeviia wayyy too low though, that was one of their best entries :'( Thanks for hosting Jupiter, you have truly earned the best wish you can offer from that, safe travels back to Kansas x
June 27, 20205 yr Surprising (but very good) winner, though it was always going to be somewhere in the mix, so the five 18s certainly solidifed its cause. A great pop song will usally find a way through. I'm very happy and quite surprised with 6th place, I thought it would do pretty well but still expected about 5-10 places lower. It continues what feels like a solid year for us so far (not sure where we'd be in the YTD, but I guess maybe top 10?). It really caught my ear on the first listen with that throwback production and I'm glad it found a lot of big fans. It's the fifth time we've finished in that position overall. Hendinia's entry is, again, wonderful. My second favourite of the year only after their own Goliath. And would have been a fantastic winner but third is a very solid result for it. And well done to Sam in second too, Faded would have been my 1 pointer if I'd been in that semi and was 16th in my final votes. I was tussling over whether to give it 1 point in the final, but luckily that wouldn't have changed the outcome so I'm not feeling too guilty. Thanks a lot for a really fun and solid hosting Jupiter, really enjoyed the whole contest, fantastic quality, a lot of great discoveries and a great finish to boot.

June 27, 20205 yr Wow!! This is a really good winner! I kinda keep my liking of Mi Amor pretty lowkey but this sounds exceptional and I'm in awe how the song mixes emotions and catchiness pretty well! This is also the first time the winner of BJSC actually made an appearance in my chart, and with this week's ranking at 63, higher than last week (and especially this week's has been one of the most competitive top 50s I've ever had), it might even be the first entry to make an entry to top 50! Kudos to everyone for the songs this edition as there are many records broken for me and my chart as well. Thanks a lot for the shoutout from POPHub and Pame Pame actually attained a peak of no. 6 in my chart, highest so far for a BJSC entry since I started joining in BJSC 123! This is absolutely amazing and catchy and it is underrated after finishing at 29th place here. My second shoutout and commiserations to Holland Oats for their amazing Someone Else. Surprisingly, I have this song playing a lot over the last week and it did grow on me much more than their last run in my chart -- now at no. 12 aiming for the top 10. Maybe this edition will be the first time there are two top 10 entries?
