Good riddance to bad rubbish! Out first in a scathing result, Frankee received nearly half of the votes cast! I am glad Eamon lasted longer with his original dissing-the-ex track - even if it was just by one round. The song was released in May 2004 as an answer song to Eamon's 'F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)' and ended up dethroning him at number one - staying at the top for three weeks until being replaced by 'I Don't Wanna Know'... which also provoked an answer song funnily enough. The song proved a hit in Australia after, again, knocking Eamon off the top spot. In the US, it failed to find success and Frankee's pop career never took off. I used to love it at the time (more than Eamon's) but as an adult I find it crass. The line "It was your fault somehow" sums up her "side of the story" perfectly.

I was going to move to my next choice after JT as that ain't going anywhere lol... but then I realised that I like EVERYTHING else here *.

It's going to be a while voting 'Sexyback' :')

Save Afroman and The Darkness 😔

The fact that it even managed to be in the top 10 selling singles of its year speaks volumes...

After a bit of deliberation I'm going for Ruby next. Decent track but neither their best nor representing the best of mid-noughties landfill indie.

Going for Afroman which I don’t really mind. Frankee was the only one here I actively dislike!

The funny thing is Frankee (according to him) wasn't even Eamon's girlfriend he was bitching about, she was just cashing in. It's crass and awful. At least his version has a deeper reasoning.

Going for Meet Me Halfway I think, like everything they released in 2009, it was killed by overplay.
