5 8.17 It's OK!

Thank you baby: 11 - pippa

I wouldn't wanna be ya: 4 - Tombo

The lead single from Feels So Good saw the introduction to a classier, more mature Atomic Kitten. The breezy, summery midtempo launched at #3 in the UK chart and spent 11 weeks in the top 40. Three more Feels So Good tracks remain in the top 4!

You Are was such a missed opportunity! I remember the music video having so much airplay on music channels... it surely would have been a big hit for them.

I preferred (and still do prefer) Bootylicious by Destiny's Child, which went in at #2 in the week Eternal Flame went to #1, so I was a bit disappointed by that outcome!

I love It's OK!

It's OK is MOR pop at it's FINEST.

It's beautiful, whilst not being particularly innovative or original.

I think 'not particularly innovative or original' sums up the majority of Atomic Kitten's back catalogue

I wouldn't wanna be ya: 3 - ElectroBoy

Teamed up with The Last Goodbye for a single release, Be With You was a brand new track at the time of its release. It was later included on a Feels So Good special edition released in Asia, making it firmly a part of that era despite its later inclusion on Ladies Night! The track samples Last Train to London by ELO, and the double A-side peaked at #2.

Top 3 coming tomorrow! Who are you backing for the win? :o

The Last Goodbye

The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)

Whole Again

'Be With You' has aged brilliantly! A beaut! I stand by my opinion that it'd sound great on Dua's latest album!

I predict:

01. Whole Again

02. The Tide Is High

03. Last Goodbye

but I'd like the reverse, please

Joining for the top 3 because they're the only songs I know :cheer:

Whole Again to win

Be With You :music: A very welcome boppy moment in a singles discography rather full of mid-tempos and ballads!

They have some solid uptempo's that would have been nice single choices! 'Be With You' kind of fit the 'Feels So Good' album more than it did 'Ladies Night'! A fair few of their uptempo's from FSG have that same kinda vibe, but BWY feels a lot more polished and it's definitely better! But they could have had some great bangers as singles.

Love Won't Wait, Feels So Good, Softer The Touch  + So Hot from 'Feels So Good' album.

Somebody Like You > Pretty much BWY little sister <, Always Be My Baby (pretty much typical AK by numbers, but with a bit more punch), I Won't Be There  (My fave ever AK song  ), Don't You Know & Loving You from 'Ladies Night' album.

They were fairly good with a good balance of slow and uptempo songs, i enjoyed most of their covers aswell, not so much ladies night, there was a stage when they could do no wrong and were having big hit after big hit and doing the 2 big covers the tide is high and eternal flame really kept the momentum going after the career saving whole again.

You Are, Eternal Flame and espcially It's OK are all among my favourite AK songs. It's OK really is the ultimate spring/summer bop, isn't it? It always puts me in such a good mood.

Eternal Flame is their best cover imo. Will never grow tired of that one.

Be With You is obviously a total BOP, but I don't enjoy it as much as the other three songs. Funnily enough it was released as a stand-alone single here (just like The Last Goodbye).

Tide is High top 3 hmm. Too high hope it falls out next

It's OK and Be With You are essential Atomic Kitten in my book. They cemented the girls' second era as by far their best. It's OK gives me childhood summer nostalgia and the video reinforces that! Be With You has to be their most interesting track tbh. Unlike a lot of their back catalogue, it doesn't sound dated or "of its time".

Sorry but that top 3 is mostly AWFUL. I can abide The Last Goodbye being there because it is one of their best but beige, pedestrian 'Whole Again' and a COVER. :drama:
